Where is the good news ? I want Lenord Little football back.... Grandpa , tell me bout the good OL' days .

I've grown up expecting mediocrity, because I've never seen a legitimately great UT team.

Edit: I did technically "see" the 1998 team, but I was a baby, and don't remember any of it. (Well, I was 2)

It was a special time, my friend. I'll never forget being at the '98 Arkansas game when I was 11. Incredible.

I'll experience it one day (hopefully soon)

Hey, I'll always stand by my Vols. I was born a Vol and will die a Vol. Dooley knows what he's doing.

Then you are young enough to be a Titans fan. Shame on you.

I was talking to a high school football player a few weeks ago, and he had no idea who Al Wilson is. He said he was too little to remember Peyton playing here, this shocked me until I realized how long it's actually been. Some of those games feel like I saw em yesterday.

I was at the 98 NC game. I'll never forget that experience, it was surreal. National Championships are rare, and to see the joy it brought my dad and uncles was priceless.

The biggest game I remember is most likely the 2004 Florida game.

UT kicked ass while I was a student (98 fall-2001 fall)
I counted Bama game as automatic win back then.

I was 9. I can distinctly remember a few plays, but certainly wasn't old enough to understand the full experience.

Give Dooley a few years, dude is bringing it back.

I've been trying to explain to my wife, who is still a new Vol, that at one time not so long ago, it wasn't IF we would win each week, it was just by how much.

I miss the 3 headed monster of Garner, Hayden, and Stewart.

I was there too with my brothers. It is something I will always remember. I am being patient with this program. I really like Dooley. He knows the SEC and he will get us back. It's just a little harder now. There are so many good coaches in this league.

Sheeez...you guys are just too damn young.

Learn to live with the ups and downs...it'll still kill you...but you learn that you'll live through it...and still look forward to the next game or the next year. Just the way it is.

And a note to the "Titans" comment...I remember making the drive the Atlanta to watch the Falcons (long before the "dirty bird") and got to see Haskel Stanback playing against Billy "White Shoes" for Houston. LOOOOONG time ago.

I remember being on fall visit day at UTC as a high school junior, and on the way back to Nashville, I lost reception of the game when we lost the lead, and picked it up again right when Stoerner fumbled. That was one of the happiest days of my life.

I was born in 93 so I can just vaguely remember the 98 season. The first season I really followed the whole team through would have been around 2003. I am tired of this mediocrity, I want us to be tennessee again.

I remember losing to Kentucky!

Me too. I was 11 years old and spending Thanksgiving at Disney World. I remember the clock running out with us down near their goal line and me thinking "oh well. Let's go ride Space Mountain."
