I think Alex Ellis will make the roster

Negative Nancy in the hizzouse

Nothing negative about it. Making the NFL is nearly impossible. Making it as an undrafted free agent is even harder. Starting that process from where Alex began makes it lottery-like chances. Odds are I'm going to be right. Were he the type of talent to be likely to accomplish this feat, you would have seen more actual production and playing time from him.

He may not be a Jason Whitten type of athlete at TE but I could see him making an NFL roster and contributing.

But you won't. Wolf is remarkably better than Ellis, and he will be a marginal NFL tight end.

Alex Ellis was a great walk-on college tight end. You are delusional if you think he ever plays in anything other than the last 20 minutes of a pre-season NFL game. I think his only chance is to become a long snapper.

NFL teams average 13 UFA's per team. So no, its not "harder than impossible."

Based on world or US population, it is. You are reducing the numerical starting point. The fact Alex is at this point is a statistucal feat itself. Odds are it goes no further. Plus, he has no odd outstanding skill that could land him on a full time roster to fulfill an unusual need. Hence, the long snapper comment.

Alex majored in biomed so if he doesn't make the Titans roster it won't be the end of the world

I saw where he might sign with the Titans. I have always liked him as a player.

He isn't going to beat out Walker, Fasano, or Stevens and I don't think we'll carry 4 or 5 tight ends like last year either. His only shot is hopefully making the practice squad.
