I didn't hear them over here by campus... maybe they were drowned out by a train horn? :dunno:

I work downtown and saw them, too...3 F-16's haulin booty.

Ice: "Say, do you need any help?"
Mav: "With what?"
Ice: "Figuring out who the best pilot is."
Mav: "No, I think I can figure that one out on my own."

The flyoverS tonight were great. Three F-18s (he said F-16s, he's a moron, they were twin engined... definitely hornets) at the beginning of the National Anthem, then a B-52 at the end of it!

Couple of things here. First off, I'm in the Air Force, yet I bleed orange. So I really was leery about how bad the Air Force was gonna have their butts whooped. Second, I'm stuck in South Dakota, so I didn't even get to watch the game today. Just thought I'd say that so you folks would know how lucky you are being so closed to the hallowed ground.

Man, I know the Air Force isn't that good at football, where were the Vols that destroyed Cali last week?

It was all in that flexbone offense. It kept our defense on their heels all night... we only stopped them once.

If you have broadband you can download the game tomorrow or at the latest Monday. Look for the link in the Videos forum. You'll then see why/how the AFA gave us such a fight.

We actually played pretty well considering we were taking on an entire branch of the Armed Forces.

Not so fast my friend. F-18 Hornets are NAVY. They were positively absolutely F-16 Fighting Falcon's. They had one single engine, sorry.

And the BUFF (B-52) flyby was good too. That one came all the way from Barksdale AFB, LA.

Hope everyone enjoyed the mini air show. Not our most dominate fighter, but the F-16 is a sleek and agile weapon.

Go Vols!!
