upset about the won loss record. But the reality of it is Phil Fulmer has taken us to the promise land once before, not too long ago! We simply need a qb with "the arm of Peyton" and we will do fine!

I agree.....down years happen....and the season isnt over....we can end 8-3 vs. what has to be the toughest schedule in a long time in college football....i know expectations were higher, but sometimes things dont pan out.....im sick of people sayin everything is over and all this....those people sound like bandwagoners to me.....a real vol will cheer for the team no matter the record or how good or bad times are....I myself am a real fan, I am not giving up.Things happen for a reason.Hopefully the D wont give up because of our O and things will turn out better. That kind of O without the fumbles will do a lot against a bunch of teams.Alabama has one of the best defenses in the nation. We played hard just had some mistakes.Face it, we could just as easily be 6-0 as we are 3-3,but the teams that beat us forced us into mistakes and we blew big chances.I am going to cheer for the Vols no matter what happens.Everyone giving Anderson crap needs to step off a bit too, that guy made a hit that would knock it loose from a lot of people.I hated to see the fumble, but how many on here would have held on to that??

Sometimes when the Vols lose, I'll make it a point to wear my Tennessee orange simply to show my support through the good and the bad times! Secondly, it seems to me Fulmer is overall one of the top coaches around plus he's a Tennessee by product.

I too support coach fulmer, but we got to the "promise land" with a qb with the legs of tee martin...I think a mobile qb, maybe like shaffer would have done us a ton of good this year?? :dunno:

I am in no way a bad wagon fan. More like a 23 year season ticket holder, made every bowl game starting in 85 with the Sugar Bowl over Miami. I have gon through about every emotion a fan can go through. I'm not saying he has to go, but for some reason we get top 5 classes every year and we have every excueseknow to man as to why we under perform. If our players have that much talent then we are not growing the players. Who has that job. I don't see us having a freshman running back that comes in and just takes over like many have. So where and who are we getting? It comes down to COACHES. Are we lacking in that area?

None. If you're through waving the "Love it or leave it flag", may I butt in?

Many people who express discontent on this site do so out of the very same passion as those who were considered outcasts and traitors...the Vietnam protestors. If everyone is to restrain negative comment, there will be no accountability.

Mr. Anderson is a paid athlete to do a job that he failed at. Mr. Fulmer is a millionaire paid to do a job he is failing at. Failure breeds negativity, get over it.

They had better as well. :eek:k:

Believe me . . . I understand the sentiment, but please don't try to justify slamming a player by saying he deserves it because he is "paid".

I love my TENNESSEE VOLS, I support all our coaches and players .... we love our team regardless of whether we have a fantastic win or a sad pitiful loss... I wear my orange proudly everyday in GA, my vehicle expresses my love for the team I think is number one...

GO VOLS... GO BIG ORANGE ...

Is it not the truth? You may want to call it a scholarship but that is nothing more than another name for a paid education. College athletics is a job, much like the one you or I may do, it has its demands, it's set schedules, it's rules. Not a bit different than working at K-Mart except the income is applied directly to the university education system and is not taxable.

Fulmer admitted that he does not know how to fix the offense. I can appreciate that type of honesty and can laugh at his comment that, "If I had some magic dust, I would sprinkle it." What I can't accept is that if it can't be fixed in his mind or Sanders' mind, is Fulmer accountable enough to the University and the Tennessee Tax Payers to find someone who can fix it. Or do we continue to pay $2 Million a year to a coach who would rather use a witch doctor to change his team than to make a change himself.

Yes by all means, let's get a new coach for $2 million a year..... so the Vols can turn into a bunch of losers like Nebraska!

FYI - the Vols recruiting rankings according to rivals.com
Not exactly top 5 EVERY year

2005 4th
2004 11th
2003 18th
2002 2nd

That 2nd ranked class in 2002 included Gibril Wilson (in NFL) as well as a ton of defensive players that are currently on the Vols. No wonder the Vols defense is so good this season.

10 of 25 players were offensive.... offensive players on the list from 2002: RB Gerald Riggs, RB Reuben Mayes, OL Rob Smith, OL Cody Douglas, OL Heath Benedict, OL Brandon Jeffries, TE Leon Pinky, TE Aaron Kirkland, WR Chris Hannon, and QB James Banks.

I've had Phil's back, but he needs to make some staff changes or there's a chance my support will start to fade

If loyalties are a problem here then make Cutcliff Assistant Head Coach for Offense and let Randy keep his title as OC. If Randy complains, let him find better. Bottom line, we need to score points and Fulmer doesnt trust Randy to do it. We need to fish or cut bait.

The only thing we need to cut is our ENTIRE offensive staff!

game plan seemed good saturday....just made mistakes...nice call running the draw on 3rd and long on our FG drive....Riggs was a shoe string tackle away from a 1st down....maybe they are right.....maybe execution has been bad....i would like for the real UT receivers to stand up and show some heart....taking away the green jerseys was a good move.....i also liked the new formation....it seemed to work
