And I liked his comment that "there is no player we are not prepared to go play without." Da'Rick will be ok. The Vols will be okay.

I wish we knew more about the situation, but it seems that Dooley handled this right at least. There's a positive. He's usually good with things like this.

I'm really itchin to see how the team reacts to this. I would really like to see them take all their frustration out on NC State and punish them. Make it a statement game that this Vol team is pissed and play like it.

That's my hope anyways.

If we go 6-6 or 7-5 and he gets fired, he's always going to have that "What if" lingering in the back of his mind. In the beginning of the summer, this team was poised to win 9 or even 10 games. But the wheels have slowly been falling off with injuries and dismissals.

I hate it for him. I want him to succeed, but his luck just won't allow it to happen.

Well, let's just see how it plays out. We could get a few surprises. It's a long season and other team could get unfortunate bounces that help us out.

I'm still hopeful.
