What do TV reporters think that they add to hurricane coverage by standing in the middle of it???

Right now on CNN, I'm watching Anderson Cooper stand in the rain while interviewing another reporter in another location; standing in the rain. :shakehead:

I'm just waiting for a sign to fly through the air and smack Anderson in the head.

It's getting bad now . . . these idiots are standing out in the wind and getting knocked around. Only a matter of time before somebody gets smacked by blowing debris or something.

Can't say that I wouldn't like to see that. Not that I'm wishing harm on anyone, but sometimes doing stupid things will result in bad things happening....like a streaker getting knocked out by a linebacker. It's out of my hands.

"Steve, what's the weather like down there?"

"UM, LAST I CHECKED IT WAS A F***ING HURRICANE, BOB. BACK TO YOU, I'M GOING INSIDE."

That is my interpretation of a reporter in the middle of a f***ing hurricane.

It is cool to feel that wind hit you

For about 5 seconds then it hurts

I was telling my husband last night that all it would take was a reporter getting killed in a storm and maybe THEN they'd stop the stupidity.

If they could CREATE a hurricane to report on youd best believe theyd do it, the competition to 1 up on the competition by sensationalizing is ridiculous.

Exactly right. Just a matter of time before somebody puts a reporter in a John boat with a camera and a life jacket.

I think the Weather Channel will probably end up dropping Jim Cantorre out of one of those surveillance aircraft with a parachute and a clipboard, plus the ever-present parka! :eek:lol:

I like that guy on the Weather Channel that wears the black t-shirt and the "storm stories" hat...that guy pops up everywhere there is a storm and his shirt never wrinkles or stains.
