I remember a thread about the teams that beat UT

I've read about that game, I don't know how a team can win by 222 points. That's one of the most impressive stats in sports.

Yea, that very tech team was coached by the legendary John Heisman. He had enough players to suit up virtually two teams. He told them before the game that the team to score the most points would get a steak dinner. The two teams rotated quarters and piled up a whopping 222 points. In the end he was quoted as saying that both of his teams deserved the steak. The funny thing is that he was coach of Auburn at the time of their loss to that legendary Sewanee team.

At some point somebody should've written a book about that game. The players, the coaches and what led to that kind of a beatdown, the ways the game is different from the modern game. It's way too late now, though, since all the principals have been dead for 30 years. A shame.

A book would have been a good idea. I would have loved to read what some of the players thought of the game.

I agree. It would have been nice to read about the perspectives of people close to the programs of that era.
