sights, sounds, crowds and the atmosphere of a Saturday afternoon football game with a full stadium. I just hope we can return to a semblance of normality this fall! I'm not sure if anyone really knows if going to a sold out game will spread the virus. I guess it depends on which side of the aisle you believe.

so I'm old but here's the other half of the cup half empty. Yes I missed the noise of the crowd and the energy of the strip but there were alot of things I did like

Drive: It was nice to drive to the game from Nashville on game day with no traffic. Averaged about 75-80 the whole way

Parking: no $20-30 parking on game day. Parked at a meter in front of Clement Hall for $.50 per hour. $3 for the day

Game day
no waiting in line to get into the game.

no one in front of you or behind you. Easy to get in and get out of your seat at the game

after a score, you can go to the bathroom, go to the concession stand, and make it back to your seat before the next kick off

never a line in the bathroom. Never a line at the concession stand

After a noon kick off, you can make it back to your car, back on I-40, and back to Nashville by 5:30p

I think they'll ramp up the crowd this season though.

Everyone gots to decide for themselves.

On the other hand, here's how I see it: the more of us get the vaccine, the closer we are to filling up Neyland again on Saturdays.

I got my first shot on Thursday.

Go Vols!
Hopefully this will be a regular college football season with spring and summer practices and out of conference games!

Like shots for tetanus, measles, small pox, polio and others, it's the smart thing to do.

Nah, denying the threat is real, taking zero precautions, and then dying while intubated face down and covered in a fountain of your excrement is the way to go!
I'd rather be hit by a tractor trailer truck myself;)

I say everyone can decide for themselves and good for you seeing as how you chose to take it. However.... your natural ability to recover from c bug is 98.75%, which is great that the vaccines ability to protect you from it

You should take this BS to the political forum.

I love talking football as well but the context in which I wrote my comment was fitting if we are to see the Saturday game days of old.

Maybe politicians and the political elite can let people decide for themselves which events to attend. Living in fear is not living at all. Saturday's on Rocky Top is honestly a part of the culture of East Tennessee, just my two cents.

I beg to differ... Most ALL of Tennessee!!! Go Vols!!!

That hasn't been around for years. Going to the Florida game in 2018 felt like a mid season game against a Division 2 school. No electricity inside or out of the stadium. No atmosphere whatsoever.
