I love the thought of our team getting leaner and faster....

I always wondered what happened to the Chad Clifton types in recruiting and development.

Maybe he will get them to be able to actually fire off the ball stay low and on their blocks and bust someones rear end.:clapping:

I have never understood the whole weight issue. And I am talking primarily about the OL and DL. Some of the best OL's we have had (in the 300 lbs. era) were fully of big guys. And the best DL's we had we were 300 lbs. @ DT.
Now I know that scheme has a lot to do with size and agility, and what you need out of those players, but I don't know.

I understand the midset, but I think you can have both if you recruit well. And what is here right now is not what Lane recruited, so I guess.

Maybe slowing down on the imbibing isn't a bad thing.

What kind of box? Oh wait, a suggestion box? We're just having fun, right? :)

Yeah,

Gmantn would already be pissed @ me.:good!:

Do I need a box?

That one post on the other thread I should have just quit.
I started to say something that didn't make sense to me.

I agree.

I want my lineman to be big, physical and quick off the ball (Saban types). I'll leave the true speed to the skill guys.

Hopefully we will get our linemen as strong in the legs as they are in the upper body. That will really help the run game.

Thanks,
hmanvolfan couldn't make any sense out of that post, and to be honest after I posted it, it didn't make much sense to me either.

Glad somebody got something out of all that.:good!:

There is a long list of those who do not let that stop them from posting anyway.
