If OU smokes TTU tomorrow, Leach's name should / might / will fade as a candidate. And rightfully so.

I'm not nearly as big on Leach as I might have been a couple of weeks ago. At this point, I'm thinking "big name we never expected to get", followed by "mid-major guy with huge potential". There are several names that fit each category.
Go Vols.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but what if TTU wins?

I was listening one day this week and actually heard someone call in and suggest Doug Williams. Like Redskins QB Doug Williams. Seriously.
I can totally top that. An idiot called Pennington's show this week and said that if Brett Favre retired this year, maybe we should look at him as HC. There are no words. . .

I won't be too cocky, I swear:)

Yeah.... sure, man. I know what's coming here next week if TTU wins.

If the guy shows up in Knoxville, against my strongest protest, but he wins, you can bet I'll be loving every minute of it as well.:)

I saw the light long before 05....but I am willing to go out on a limb for Leach. If he actually comes, I would have to bear some of the responsibility! His hire would be a complete crapshoot.

But would be fun to watch. Something thats been lacking here lately.

I was listening today and someone called in and suggested Fulmer open an offensive lineman school in Blount County. I was like...dude have you not watched UT football the past 10 yrs? We have not had a dominant line in a long time.

his daughter was at Tennessee when I was in school.

His brother (Bubba) was the starting Quarterback at UT when I was there.

BTW, Sam did bring innovation to the very staid NFL when he was the coach for the Bengals with his "no huddle offense" and made it to the Superbowl once.

make no mistake, I dont want any part of Leach on the Hill. I just admire what he has accomplished in Lubbock because I have been there and I heard a pastor say it best, "Somebody there made God mad."

Thats a good one!!...I have not heard that one before.

I remember the first time I flew into Lubbock. We were about to land , and I looked out the window, and thought to myself, Holy sh*t!!!!....Looks like they test nuclear bombs here(because it is so flat)!!! The guy sitting next to me said, "It is not the end of the earth, but you sure can see it from here!

Fulmer to Marshall? Maybe the guy was on to something

He was also told that the reason for the immediate action was that Marshall University is very close to tentivly aggreeing with Philip Fulmer to be our next coach. He is supposedly coming to hton for a very low key tour of facilities and Marshall is trying to raise money to buy out snyder and afford the increase in salary to get to Fulmers level. Dont kill the messager as I am just passing on the exact information I was given from very respected sources. This guy is also the guy that told me we were hiring Donny Jones before I knew who Donny Jones was.

If CPF had an O line last 5 years he might still have a job.

If there's one thing that I've learned about sports talk radio, it's that nearly everyone involved has a rack that would be boner-inducing.....if they weren't hairy and attached to a dude.

Now that is funny...I don't care who you are. He could open it up in the strip mall between the nail salon and Joe's Dojo.

(Me) Hey there John and Jimmy....long time listener, first time caller. I have a name that has not been thrown out for serious consideration yet.

I think Dave Clawson will be looking for work.

I will hang up and listen to your comments.

(Jimmy) silent
(John) rolling eyes Thanks for calling

:)

One problem with Sports Talk radio in Knoxville is the Sports Animal letting idiots call with no punishment. If some of the host just got into a caller about a stupid call, then the stupid calls might die down a little bit.

Also callers like Hitch should never be allowed to call. He brings nothing to the table. Buck Kelso brings more entertainment and knowledge than him.

Come to think of it, I haven't heard Roger in some time.
