I know this has probably been beaten to death...

I just have to vent.

What happened Sunday was the perfect storm. It consisted of three main issues:

1.) The day before we had just finished the worst season in UT history.

2.) This is probably the worst one of all. When Currie announced Butchs firing, we were told money wasn't an issue and that the hire would be explosive. For three weeks now we have had our hopes up. We were trolled by Davenport and Currie aboiy Gruden.

At the time it wasn't a big deal. We were still going to get a big fish right? Turns out we were dead wrong. Currie chose Schiano.

To make matters worse, he had chosen Schiano before Sunday night. He potentially didn't contact some coached.

So why the trolling? Why the false hope? Why the promise that he would hire a championship coach that has credibility and sec experience?

Currie trolled us and then slapped us right in the face. It's sad UT feels it can treat it's faithful fans this way.

3.) He chose Schiano who has ties to the Penn State scandal. Also, his Tampa Bay coaching career was flooded with controversy. Finally, he was a mediocre coach.

Yes, Currie tried to hire a coach worse than Butch Jones! WTF.

Summary:

Currie trolled fans. Promised us a big fish. Led us to believe it was so. Instead, it was Schiano all along. We missed out on other coaches.
Currie didn't troll anyone. The Grudenites been trolling themselves

So money was no object.
When people started telling them their donations were not going to be renewed and they wouldn’t purchase any tickets and they would buy merchandise and they wouldn’t send their children to Tennessee.
They changed their story fast.

I'm just really disappointed about the whole trolling mess with Gruden. Davenport liking tweets etc..

Then Currie led us to believe he was going to get a big fish. He didn't even use a search firm.

Then we find out it was Schiano all along.

I feel wronged. I've put up with a lot of **** with my school in the past fifteen years. Yesterday was the final straw and I'm disappointed.

Currie certainly lied to all Vol fans.......and it doesn't seem like he cares.

Currie stood at that presser and said they were looking for someone of the highest integrity and someone who could bring us championships.

We ALL know Greg the Douche is not that "someone with the highest integrity." Many NFL players and some NFL coaches have openly said Greg was a dirty coach, and made players do dirty things........that is not integrity.........also Tennessee is getting past rape lawsuits........ true or untrue.......why even go down that road with Greg.........it is simply bad perception.

The worst thing is I believe Currie didn't even attempt to go after Mullen, Peterson, Fisher, etc...

I think he has been sold on Schiano for a while. This is the reason he had no search firm.

This is just speculation on my part though.

This is EXACTLY what the media is NOT saying or covering. With hundreds of thousands of Vol fans......a very few did something which may be wrong. A very few painted the rock.......a very few held signs saying he was a pedophile enabler.........and a very few said things like that on social media.

Most.......prob over 99% of Vol fans had nothing to do with any of that and simply did not like Greg the Douche's character, or him as a coach, or him as a person...........

Yet all media are covering this as ALL Vol fans did this and are to blame for slandering a coaches character............yet they know for a fact it was only a very few........and the majority got something accomplished by simply stating their opinion and what their actions would be.
