Like they would go against Bobby...

A faculty panel assembled to examine football student-athlete Brandon Warren's appeal of a denial of his transfer request released its decision to the university on Monday.

The panel, made up of three members of the FSU faculty and chaired by Dr. Joe Beckham, delivered the following written decision.

"It is the determination of the faculty panel that the information presented by Brandon Warren does not rise to the level of 'objective evidence that proves the student-athlete's extraordinary personal hardship' and is insufficient to support his appeal of the NCAA and FSU transfer policy. Panel members were unanimous in their conclusions that the appeal should be denied and the transfer rule should be enforced."

Wasn't this expected?
yeah, when the initial request went in and was denied, everyone knew an appeal was coming, but the opinion was largely that it too would be denied.....see you in '08 Brandon.

Maybe. A mother having cancer is a better reason than the RB from GT. He got released from Oklahoma because his mom broke her foot/leg.

AP might have had something to do with that. Plus from what I know Stoops is a pretty stand up guy.

This has no relevence to his NCAA appeal, the one that really counts, right?
you know, i honestly don't know.......but if FSU won't release him, what can the NCAA do?

he asked for the release, they denied, he appealed, they denied again.......now he has to sit out 07, and then he can go whereever he wants.

can the NCAA override that? if so, why have the process even at the university level?

That's what I want to know. I would think the NCAA could overturn it. Maybe the normal progression is that you have to go through the school first and then to the NCAA. :dunno:

That's right Freak. The NCAA has final say on transfers. Coaches get first dibs to release as Nutt did for Mustain. If the coach denies then the next step is to a panel. After which it is then sent to NCAA for final rule.
