Many of you said that Meyer's offense wouldn't work in the SEC, what say you now since we are 0-4 against him?? Gimmicky or not, he owns us.

That's not a good baseline to judge by. It hasn't worked too well against Auburn, LSU, or GA.

Skipper

A National Championship his first season there implementing his new offense, a Heisman Trophy, and great recruiting classes are pretty good to judge by though. BTW, it's scary just how he schemed such a vanilla offense to beat us.

What do you want people to say? Opinions on this board are more often wrong than right.

No, I just wanted to see if they still thought that, after the shellackings we have taken from his team. Wasn't about right or wrong, it was about perspective. :good!:

Meyer's o had about as much to do with that title as UT's 98 O.

I think Meyer's offense still has yet to hit on all cylinders.

So your saying he was running the same plays as Zooker was??
his d won that title and Harvin made the difference on O. He wasn't running any spread. Leak was throwing to a good group of receivers and the D could get after a QB.

His first season his offense was new. Last season he had four losses and couldn't make it to Atlanta. Seems to me that everybody else has him figured out except the Vols. Somebody explain that to me.

Well it's not that we don't have Florida figured out, it's that we don't have ourselves figured out

Lord I hope that's the case and as the season goes along our team learns to execute the Clawfense to it's glorious ends.

I will admit I didn't think it would work. Like the NFL, the speed of the d and linebackers usually do not allow for the spread and since the SEC has fast defenses I thought it would be about the same.

To Meyer the big three games are UT, UGA, and FSU when he started. UT is his first big game and he has 8 or 9 months to prepare just for UT. I will admit he does great prep work for his players and for the gameplan.

Last year Florida ranked 14th in total offense in the country. I think the four losses had something more to do with their defense.
