ala Nick Saban when he showed up in Tuscaloosa. I hope that our new guy trims the fat left over from Fulmers reign. I could name quite a few we could start with.

dont cut too many though although its tempting for how bad we are. gotta be careful our commitments are dropping like flies so we need a great coach to salvage that first then worry about the incumbent problem children. in all due respect i think the majority are trying hard but their inferior coaching they have received has set them up for failure.

If he does any cutting I think it will be because of attitude. There is plenty of talent on this team that with the right coaching they could be a force to be reckonened with. This team has totaly underachieved and honestly I think it is a lack of FUNDIMENTAL coaching.

Let's get to the real heart of the matter. Is our new coach going to cut players by saying "you're outta here you worthless sack of s#&* who couldn't throw the m^&^&% f^&*%^( ball 15 yards without bouncing it" or is he going to say "listen here young man, you have lost your scholarship for the inablity to complete a pass."

I mean that's the real issue here right?

i think Crompton is too full of himself to come back next season, knowing he's the LEAST liked player on the team (by the fans).

He will definitely transfer to D1-AA and play his senior year.

i dont see them cutting players but i think every position will be up for grabs for anyone ready to prove themselves with a hard work ethic and desire to win. the coach has to put the best players for the team on the field and disregard the starter status.

except for mcneil.. i think he is pretty safe.

I would cut players for disciplinary and/or academic reasons only. If someone can't hack it but has a good attitude, they won't intoxicate the others around them. If someone can't hack it and has a sour attitude, he'll transfer out anyway.

He will definitely transfer to D1-AA and sit behind a player who never received a Rivals star.

Wouldn't come in cutting, wait to see how they respond to the new Coach and his system. Don't cut your nose off to spite your face.

THe coaches are all gone unless new coach retains sombody but the way recruits are falling we may not need to keep anyone

Can we cut A.Foster even though he's graduating? That'd be nice.

I was thinking the same thing.

They give honorary degrees sometimes in case of tragedies, etc (Va Tech Tragedy for example)

Why can't they give Honorary Dismissals for crappy and/or undedicated players that are graduating.

A Foster
