the anti Fulmer crowd keep underestimating the man. He is an accomplished individual that has never gotten the recognition or respect he deserves. It’s been that way since the beginning but he always stays classy and reserved. People criticize him for the JM debacle but Coach Majors was an alcoholic and it was time for him to go.

So go ahead and underestimate the man. He will be a unifying force that will bring TN back. I truly believe that his love for the university will overcome all the cynicism and hate that is prevalent now. And I believe it will happen sooner rather than later,

Phil Fulmer and I share Orange DNA. I have been critical of a lot of things but still have my orange blood. He will do what it takes or recognize it and walk away in favor of UT's future.

I have nothing but respect for Coach Fulmer. I had to admit at the end of his time as head coach that it was time to make a change, but I never lost respect for him. One family has had entirely too much input into the goings on in the football program and has been a big part of the mess that is Tennessee football at this time. A couple of times in Coach Fulmer's opening statement, he pretty much directed his comments to them. I honestly felt like he or David Blackburn should have gotten the AD job eight months ago. This hire restores credibility to the program and will be the catalyst for the coaching hire. Fulmer loves this university and will do his absolute best to restore the pride in the program.

Some of you guys just love the confusion...Unless it's your guy in control, you will always complain.

Unbelievable what the clowns on ESPNU just said about Fulmer. Something like it's disturbing that Fulmer sabotaged the coach selection process and still managed to slide into the AD spot. Not it's possible. Not it's been reported. That ass-hat flat out repeated the story that's likely been trolled by Currie/Haslam and ran with it as if it was factual.

With all the financial trouble around ESPN they cannot afford to lose a single commercial from Pilot/Flying J.

I hate conspiracy theories but you see that damn logo all over the broadcasts and on the game day table. Makes me damn sick and I’ve pondered the same thing.

I have never seen ESPN and other Media trash and make jokes about any school like they have Tn during this coach search. It's on the level of nuclear meltdown, like hair on fire.Paul Finebaum and some others seem to gloat over the negative press they had out.I will never forgive them.

He was a first ballot hall of fame coach. Not sure if you can show more respect than that.
