promise I will not criticize the football team or staff again the rest of the season. They're simply not any good. Ripping them for failing to play competent football is akin to berating a quadrapalegic for not winning a triathalon.

That's what is so amazing. I think there have always been arguments about coaching, but talent level has always sort of been assumed. It's pretty clear that there just aren't very many dynamic playmakers out there.

That's a pretty bold statement to make right before the Georgia game. I have a feeling you'll want to retract it after the Dogs beat us by 28.

Hat is a better man than me, I wanna go and put a for sale sign in CPF yard, that was painful

Hat, you know that it is theraputic to bitch about this staff. Otherwise our heads would explode.

I'm surprised you held out this long with that statement. It couldn't be more true and seemingly it was evident about 10 minutes into the UCLA game, but no one wanted to believe it.

Why rip them if that happens? It's about what I expect. If I eat at Krystal, I don't scream at the guy working the grill for not being Gordon Ramsey.

It's about to get really ugly around here. The atmosphere at the game tonight was comparable to TBA during the Houston Error.

Jeez. My football team sucks and now Hat is done with criticizing. This year is sucking!

I understand where Hat is coming from. What is even the point of getting upset at this point? Even the complete homers can see that there are major issues. If we get to 6 or 7 wins, it's going to be amazing.

I disagree, we may not have the best talent but neither did Auburn or UCLA. Not like we have been losing to USC and Oklahoma the past couple of weeks.

Exactly. To draw another basketball analogy, I realized long ago that screaming at the Gannon Goodsons of the world wasn't going to turn them into Christian Laettner.

I don't fully buy the no-talent theory. There have been many-a-year around here where that has been said, only to have about 8 guys drafted the following April.

I remember when we had David Martin, Jason Witten, Eric Parker, Cedric Wilson, Hannon (talent?), etc and some of those types and people said the same things. They "couldn't win those outside matchups" against Vandy but somehow managed to get open against NFL defenses.

There are not 75 college teams with better talent across the board than our offense.
