I have seen it all.

I can't say that I know for sure what the future holds for this football program if it's good or bad. I' am not God I don't have that power but if our better days are truly behind us for whatever reason I can honestly say I have seen it all. 31 of my 40 years on this earth I have been watching Tennessee play football. I have had the opportunity to see this once storied program win a national title and 2 SEC titles. I have seen us recruit at the absolute top where we were in everyone top 5. Many people would say it's just a game and what not but too Tennessee fans we just seem to hold it a little more to our hearts for some reason. So like I said I can't tell the future but if our better days are truly behind us I was one of the lucky ones to get to see it all. GO BIG ORANGE.

Sometimes you just have to say goodby to something that has been very special in your life.
Tennessee football looks to be one of those
special things, unless something is done very very quickly

I'm with you!! For 63 years (soon to be 64), I have seen Tennessee have only one perfect season. The rest of those years it was always losses to teams we should not have lost to and games that we were outcoached in or the desire of the players in not playing to win. Since the 98 season, I feel this has happened more often than not. Truly sad to watch them play these days and lose games in every way possible. The only way to lose a game that I have yet to see is having the opponent's center run with the ball starting on their one yard line.....And score the winning TD in the last 15 seconds of the game (while running out of breath at midfield and walking into the end zone the last 50 yards). Being sarcastic by all means, but just amazed at how we have lost the last 6 games in every way possible.

Bama was saying the same prior to Saban arriving. They had not won anything since the early 90's and we had been kicking the crap out of them. Just takes the right coach, staff and a great QB, and we are right back in the hung!

Agree 100%. The fans can feel the noose.

All apart of the Ebbs and flows. Alabama won’t be on top forever, tennessee won’t be towards the bottom forever. I just hope when we get to the top again, we win a few more championships this time around.

Every team goes through this at one time or another. Maybe the great teams don't usually have a 15 year bad stretch, but 10 years isn't uncommon. I once read an article asking the poignant question "Will Alabama ever beat Tennessee again?".

Was it written in hieroglyphics?

What drives the success is the fans... $$$ Tennessee has too many fans that pay good money to stay down forever. Sadly hiring coaches is about 75% luck. Sooner we get back to kissing frogs the sooner we can get back to the top.
