This was embarassing for everyone, but YOU CAN NOT EXPECT TO HANG WITH BAMA WITHOUT 13 STARTERS/MAJOR CONTRIBUTORS.

Very true our best shot was to turn it into a shoot out. Defense was going to be challenged to be competitive.

I remember reading where Shoop said no one would run the ball on us this year. We just got steamrolled and I didn't see Kongbo doing a lot either.

When the negative cat is teaching you positivity, you might have a problem.

Not that it matters but 3 Bama TDs should of been called back for holding. Lol.

It is what it is, we should all be conditioned for this. The only problem I have is this team doesn't seem as tough and physical as last years for whatever reason.

What about all of the "next man up" that we've been hearing? If we aren't recruiting any depth, then what happens when we lose our starters to natural attrition? There's something to be said for at least playing competitively, and today we saw that we don't have the depth of talent on any level to play competitively at this point. The scary part is that this is year 4, and our next recruiting class is not shaping up even be close to the level that we have seen previously. The next few years could be extremely ugly.

What are the coaches supposed to say? "Well our starter, his backup, and the backup to the backup is out so we're up s*** creek"

Coaches have to be positive and keep the guys motivated, even though we are replacing veterans with guys playing their first meaningful snaps sans special teams.

The injuries played a huge factor in how badly we were beaten, however, I don't think the injuries can now solely be blamed on bad luck or fluke plays. Our strength and conditioning coach changed this year and it makes one wonder. We had players going off left and right this game too. Not to the extent of the A&M game, but still, what is going on?

If your second string at a position is so far behind your first string that he is not serviceable at that position, then you have either failed at recruiting, coaching, or both.

This is year four, we should expect to have some depth at positions that aren't the equivalent of putting a walk-on in place of every starter that gets injured.

I don't think it can be stated enough honestly. The question is will we heal up as a team and will we not get down on ourselves and have the wheels fall off. I'm really worried about those things.

Have you ever played any ball beyond a JV level?.

So how many are back if we play BAMA in ATL in DeC?

It neither plainly the difference between 1st and 2nd string nor just 2nd string guys we are playing.

For instance, we had Elliot Berry (4th string LB, behind JRM, Sapp,McDowell) playing in the place of a potential AA and one of reasons our team had such high expectations to start the year.

Same can be said for true frosh Buchanon playing in place of Cam. Not bad talent, but when its all over the field we become more 2014 Vols than 2016 Vols.
