I hate dead period

I dont think it means recruits cant commit. The coaches cant talk to them during the dead period. I think that's the way it works. So it may not be boring.

I could be wrong but I think the coaches can make 1 phone call per week but no actual contact with them.

The recruits are allowed to call and even committ, coaches may not initiate contact of any kind. This according to Bill King show this morning.

If nothing else it will give the staff time to focus on specific targets for this class...

According to the NCAA page, coaches can either write or phone recruits.

What is a dead period?
During a dead period a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents, and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high schools. Coaches may write and telephone student-athletes or their parents during a dead period.

Dead period also loves instant replay.

Man, i didn't think about that. I guess I hate a lot of stuff. Actually, I think i hate instant replay officiating a whole lot more than dead period. TIFWIW

I can handle people who work out in street clothes. That's kinda lame but I don't harp on it too much. What I hate really is when people work out like at 10 in the morning and at 10 at night, they're still wearing the clothes and *****ing about what a "hard workout" they had.

I also hate overused "quotations".
