I hate being right

Earlier in the week, Butch was interviewed on Sirius XM. When he got done talking I said to myself, we aren't beating florida. This guy talks like he's planning his defeat speach.

Even after the interview people were calling in saying how Butch jones sounds like he's practicing his excuses for when tennessee loses.

You can call me negative or whatever, but I could tell this guy wasn't a winner as soon as I saw him for the first time. Hes a Busch league coach who literally doesn't know how to win on the biggest stage. He says over and over how young they are, but Florida is young too. Florida is 4-0 under a first year head coach who is taking over after the previous coachieve put the team in a ditch. Urban Meyer also took over a ruined program and had immediate success.

We bought a line of bullsh!t hook line and sinker. Butch Jones is a liar and a cheat. He bilked tennessee out of millions of dollars.

He keeps saying brick by brick. Well coach Jones, how many more bricks are we going to put on this brick sh!t house? When will I stop being humilliated? When will the supporters of this once fine program get redemption?

Will you continue coaching like you are in a low tier conference?

So this is the "I hate being right so much that I'm going to create a thread telling you about it" thread?

No one saying I told you so actually hates doing it or they would just let it go

I'm not real jacked up about Butch right now either, but chances are that we will beat Arkansas and you'll be right here high fiving with the rest of us.

Yeah, beating a 1-3 Arkansas team in Neyland would certainly cure all of our ills.

Then again, lose to Arky, and we're staring 2-5 in the face.

You have to be a billionaire. If you could tell Butch "wasn't a winner the first time you saw him", I'm sure you have the ability to beat the stock market with ease.

We will lose to arkansas and also to kentucky. Someone please save this thread.

There is a huge difference between being negative and just seeing the writing on the wall.

I really don't have a poor attitude in any other aspect of my life. Just UT football.

I wont. I need to see a lot more. See my post earlier in the week when I said that beating a crappy Florida team when they are at a low point should not be credited to butch as a signature win.

With a good coach he should have had his team expecting nothing less than an easy win. But you could see how they played is a direct reflection of how Butch talks about his team in public.

Failure is infectious and losing breeds more losing.

Just ask the Chicago cubs.

What did Taylor Swift say? Losers gonna lose? Or something like that.

I'm really bummed and dissapointed that I let myself buy into the crap he was selling.

If Tennessee had won the game, the sunshine pumpers would have been posting the same type of threads.

But as I turned out, those people bought the lie, like I did, and ended up on the wrong side of history.

But I'm sure when we go 7 and 5 and go to a crappy bowl game, their undying optimism will show up again.

I think in 6 to 8 years butch will no longer have a young team and you'll just have to wait until then to win.

Maybe you should hold your breath until it happens.

Don't worry, I'll call 911 for you.

Some people will make excuses for everything.

"My husband only beats me when dinner is late. It will get better, I just know it."

I know that's a crass example, but that's exactly how I feel about these people.
