So, my Arcade unit got the RROD earlier tonight & I had to swap over to my other Xbox...Here's the weird part. My NAT is open on my Arcade Xbox but Strict on my older one. Nothing changes. I put the same HDD on both. I tried fixing it for a while to no avail & I swapped back to my Arcade & it's working again & the NAT is open....swap back, Strict, so on & so forth. Back when I played on the older one the NAT was open so what happened?

Any ideas?

P.S. I hate you, OWB.:boxing2:

Here's some ideas.

You may have one of the machines assigned an IP on your router. When it signs onto the network, it grabs the proper IP and everything is opened/forwarded properly.

Now, when the 2nd machine logs onto the network, it's just getting a general IP from the DHCP routine in the router. As such, you would be getting a restricted IP that you haven't configured yet.

Check your router.

Well my main computer is down so I can't configure my router right now but I might can get it fixed soon. Thanks for the help, Doc.

Who is this Larkin you guys speak of?
He is a mythical creature that appears from time to time when you are curb stomping an opponent and you magically explode from an exploding arrow. Then you hear a sinister giggle in your mic and he disappears only to be seen hiding out until he is the last one alive on your team asking, "where did you all go?"........or he could be in cali unearthing Micheal Jackson's grave to do unspeakable acts to his corpse.
