I had a dark thought this morning

I bet he didn't even bother to find out if they were considering it. He probably found out on Twitter or something.

That's a helluva conclusion to draw without ANY information at hand to do so.

I posted this two weeks ago and the know it all posters on here “called me out” even though I have personally been through the same situation as a player.

Pruitt’s downtime would’ve been spent rerecruiting our current roster, however he wasn’t on campus. Which is a stand up decision, for players that were on the fence with no strength and condition coach around they chose to go one.

It was just as meaningless then as it is now.

Kelly is the biggest loss, but seeing as he may feel the centering of the offense wouldn't be just about him anymore could have made him decide to go.

Khalil is the biggest let down, as he was a Cinderblock in the brick wall, but wasn't much more than a sturdy regular brick.

Gaulden is the biggest shock as I didn't see him playing at the next level at all. Just seemed like a good College player.

Good luck to them, but all three seem to be strange announcements.

You haven't been paying attention. gaulden was the best player we had on defense. Kmac size and strength will ensure an nfl career and kelly is by far the most replaceable, but will have an nfl career nonetheless.

Showing ignorance if anyone thinks scouts havent noticed gaulden. He's a hard hitter sure tackler and most importantly, led the nation in yards allowed per snap in coverage.

0.24 yards allowed per snap in coverage. Don't underestimate that as a stat scouts underline. Gaulden is a sleeper and will make big money.

All three made wise decisions regarding their future. The grapes are sour sure, but you don't have to like them.

gaulden improves draft stock, proves passive viewers, perpetually drunken, and willfully obtuse fans wrong once again

I don’t know why when I saw this thread title I thought of...

I see your red door, I want it painted black
No colors any more, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see the line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love, both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly looked away
Like a newborn baby it just happens everyday
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door, I must have it painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black
No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me before the morning comes
(I want to see your face painted black
Black as night, black as coal
See the sun blotted out from the sky)
I've seen your red door and I want it painted black
No colours any more, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

Somebody talk me out of it.

If Pruitt is full time these last three weeks and working on making connections with the team, we don't lose all these underclassmen to the NFL draft.

I think Gaulden and Kelly were leaving regardless. Gaulden is coming off a great season and better to get the money now than risk an injury. Unfortunately, I don't think Kelly really fits into Helton's system well and he decided to take his chances in the draft now, rather than play in a system that might not highlight his strengths.

McKenzie is the only one that doesn't make sense. Feel like he would've benefited from a season under Pruitt and could've improved his draft stock significantly. No clue if Pruitt tried to sell him on staying or not.

Most of the kids declaring have made a good decision. We will not have a team that will showcase talent. Think of Malone last year. He made the right call. Kelly made the right call. Who would want to run behind a TN oline next year.
Oh, and I am betting he talked with each face to face.
