i feel horrible to admit this but...

Like i said before, guess i need to say it again for those ppl who are dense....i was not "cheering for Troy" nor was I "cheering for UT" to lose! dont take what was actually said into your own twisted words. I would never nor will i ever root for tennessee to lose a game.

At some point I was actually pulling for Troy to get that win

At some point I was actually pulling for Troy to get that win so dooley would get the door sooner! Hate to admit but this is gotten ridiculous beyond belief! Now I don't have any clue on coaching changes and who knows, dooley could lose 2 outta 3 and still end up our 2013 coach but watching what I did yesterday was embarassing to the point of laughter. I will cheer for my vols til I die but I cannot support this coach....now say what u want but deep down most hope we lose at least to mizzou or vandy to get t is clown out the door. I don't wanna lose at all but that seems to be the only way.... VFL!

I understand the thought here, but cheer for those young men to win.

FWIW - it never even crossed my mind to hope/root/cheer for Tennessee to lose. Just say'n.

Pulling for troy...meaning they might as well and go ahead and get this win to end our misery...not standing on my feet clapping and cheering for them to score, and beat the vols! Regardless how you wanna take what i said....i never want to attend a game or watch a game with my mind set on hoping that they lose. that was not the purpose of my post. It just has gotten to the point of I dont care either way....meaning if we win out the rest of the season(that would be great and amazing)...or if we lose every game(wouldnt hurt my feelings). things must change...period.

Embarrassing.

Embarrassing.

how is that embarrassing??? its the fact of where this football program is at now. No need to get all bent out of shape of a 4-5 team if they lose any of the upcoming games. of course i want the best for the players, and would love nothing more to win out and make a decent bowl game....but im being realistic and not gonna set up myself to be disappointed..again.

Clearly you did not. I said of course I want to the team to do well, but that sometimes hitting rock bottom is the best thing for the longterm. I was cheering for UT against Troy. However, I will say that I no longer think Dooley is the man for the job. If losing to Troy was what needed to take place for this program to move forward, then it is what it is. Never will I root against my team. But I acknowledge that sometimes things need to reach a head so that they can turn around.

This is exactly what my original intent was for this post. At least a few ppl get and understand what I been trying to say. :good!:

In no circumstance should you be OK with losing a game, despite whether you think the head coach should be gone or not.

Your posts basically indicate that you're OK with hitting rock bottom- in this case, losing- as long as it gets rid of the HC. Losing is never OK. You're a shameful individual, and, along with a handful of others in the thread, a pitiful fan.

I'm allowed to derve the fact that you're an ends-justify-the-means kind of person, which in this case sucks.

I'm not saying it's okay to lose. And you are correct, it does in fact suck. But are you okay with the program falling further and futher into irrelevance? That is my issue. If I were a Kentucky or Vandy fan, I would okay with 6-8 win seasons. But we are Tennessee, that isn't acceptable. If you agree that it isn't acceptable, then what do you think needs to transpire in order to get things moving in the right direction? Honest question--nothing more, nothing less. I proudly wear my UT orange all the time, even through these tough times. Don't call those of us who want things to get better by any means necessary any less of fan than you.
