..that JC has looked worse and worse as we get further into the season.

Yes, you could say that its the competition getting better but i think that you can chalk this up more to our inept coaching staff and there completely twisted view of preparation.

Has JC really been waiting in the wings for 3 season's just to come out and play like a 17 yr. old freshman?

Can someone actually regress this badly ???

Some people just don't play at game speed, but they look OK in practice. And others don't impress you in practice, but come to life in the game. You can't always tell.

We have to do something, anything at this rate

You would think at some point over the last 3 years someone in the coaching staff would look around and say "hey, this kid sucks"

Sad thing is the coaches believed, and maybe still believe, that he gives us the best chance of winning. He may have looked good in practice and the O&W game, but that green jersey isn't on anymore.

At this point a QB who could hand the ball to the RB without screwing it up would be an upgrade! :furious3:

True.

Probably not. If a player doesn't have and can't seem to develop the natural instincts and vision to play QB... that's not something the coaches can give him.

At this point, it has gotten into Crompton's head. There's slim chance he'll ever come out of it. He'd have to be replaced and then eventually get a chance to replace his replacement with all of the pressure off.

I missed it... when was he the starter and handling all the pressure that comes with that job on a regular basis?

I don't think he's a bad kid at all. He's got all of the physical tools. He's apparently a smart kid. But there's another element to playing QB and being able to "see" and anticipate things that he doesn't seem to have.

Decision making was an issue through out the spring and into the fall. I, like many others, believed he just needed time... most of the time that's what it is. However, sometimes a kid never gets it.
