I don't know who is more responsible, me or my wife...

I stood in the entrance of BB during second quarter as my wife is pregnant and it was hot as balls. At the half I was complaining and the wife was miserable, but she said chill out they will win. She was right, and we went back out in the heat for the second half! Go Vols

I rubbed my pet bunnies foot for good luck before the game.

Don't laugh, the last two times I did it were 2015 against Georgia at halftime and 2014 against South Carolina after they went up 42-28 with about 5 minutes to go.

My 3 Aunts came down to Florida for the game (Brothers wedding and we live in Florida) ... and unfortunately, my brother is a Gator. we had about 30 people at my parents house, pretty even split of UT and UF fans. Second half one of my Aunts starting patting my other Aunt on the head for luck, and every time she did it, we either ripped off a big play, scored, or had a huge defensive stop.

Needless to say, they worked out a head patting system for future games once they are back in Tennessee.

In 2014, I didn't watch the game and we lost. In 2015, I watched the game, and we lost. In 2016, I didn't watch the game and we won. My superstitions are sporadic...almost as if superstitions don't really work.

Unless you were in the stadium, rest easy knowing you had no impact on how the team played in either the first or second half.

No one in the stadium helped much either, don't be fooled, it was all on the players and coaches to execute. Otherwise, when the fans were going nuts in the first half, we'd have been up by 2-3 touchdowns.

Living in Florida is a hostile environment. Granted I live in Panama City where the FSU fans do not like the Gators either so I do have them on my side for the most part. But one of my childhood friends lives in Jacksonville (we both grew up in Knoxville). He is in a very hostile area when it comes to UT and Gator football.

At the start of the second half he sent me a text and said "Look my cat came into the room and the game turned around. I am keeping her here because she is wearing smoky gray"

(Not his cat, but you get the idea).

He also sent me a pic of an old school Vols hat from high school (mid 80's) and said he dusted it off and put it on for good luck.

Hey, whatever works!!!!

At the end of the game my wife was singing Rocky Top. She isn't really a football fan but she couldn't help be excited about this game. Our daughters just looked at her when she was singing Rocky Top and she would say "Come on girls, sing it with me!" and they would just stare at her hahaha. Was a good feeling to be living in Florida and get a win! I will say most of the Gator fans that I work with (and those that live on my street) are great people and have been nothing but cordial.
