Pruitt will do what he has to do, in order to be successful, we may see Gaurantano and Chryst mixing it up in games. Pruitt may even use Gaurantono in special packages to run the ball some, to keep the defenses off balance. I think Gaurantano is going to be a better runner this year, and seeing if he is in trouble he will take off. With Pruitt and this staff, it isn’t any telling what we are going to see. Remember the old Gene Stallings reverse that he ran against us in the 90’s to beat us? Well, we saw that reverse in the spring game, and I’ll bet there is more to come. Remember, Pruitt was a grad assistant under Stalling, and Stallings was under the Bear Bryant tree. For Pruitt has made statements that he will use the Stallings, Fisher, Saban approach while coaching and mix it up. This is why I have faith in Pruitt when we take the field against West Virginia, Florida, Georgia, and Auburn. This is why I have faith that we will beat those teams this year. We will give Alabama fits this year, and Saban knows it. Watch what I tell you, and what I’ve been saying all along. :clapping::good!::rock:

I hope CP isn't calling the offense, that's why CH is getting paid close to a million dollar salary.(It may be a million+, just going off memory)

Pruitt's baby is the defense. I hope he builds a shutdown D, may not happen this year but that's my expectation going forward.

Guarantano got slapped with that mythical "dual threat QB" label in HS. He's not a runner. His mobility may be above average for a pro style QB... but he has shown no signs of being an integral part of UT's run game.

IMHO, Chryst is the likely starter. He has been a successful starter and played at a high level. But decision making is the key and Guarantano by appearances in the spring game still has significant work to do. He doesn't make reads quickly and accurately. His arm makes up for some of it when he throws but too often he takes the sack. Even Butch Jones knew that sacks are drive killers... he even cited some statistics once upon a time.

Strangely, JG also isn't very elusive in the pocket. That would seem to be the best use of his mobility but he hasn't discovered how to do it.

I don't see this being a situation where a 2 QB system benefits the team. Both their skill sets are similar.

If they can cobble a legitimate starting 5 O line together and avoid injuries, the offense won't be the problem this season IMO.

Now now SJT. We know how everyone you thinks will start at qb works out. Once again you are trying to find someone else when there is a clear cut better player.

JG will start. His season last year was better than any season KC has put together. If you say he can't make reads accurately why would you think the guy who was 55% as a rs JR can?

If KC has played at a high level, but been worse than JG why not just sick with JG? Did he not play at a high level too? He was better in a better conference.

JG has gotten even better too this spring. He by all accounts has taken over an been a leader. He will be the starter.

You write this to try and pump yourself up, or convince others to buy-in to your predictions in spite of the lack of developed talent that Butch Jones left Pruitt?

Good grief, I thought having one D4H was enough of a pain in the butt. Now, we have another?

This offense will be 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

Which quarterback has enough of an arm to keep the defense from stacking the box? I'm thinking there will be plenty of two tight end sets to help with the run game. Both QBs will need Chandler, Jordan, and Co to alleviate pressure. Neither of these QBs proved they can put the team on his back. Last year proved this.

OK how bout 5-7

Lulz.

I doubt it, but I just don't see less than 6.

And to be clear, I don't know if Pruitt is going to be the Savior of Tennessee football and I'm not even hinting that he will be, but no way he loses 8. I'd bet on it.
