What is the deal? I mean, I'm glad the game is on TV but it is not good at all. Not in HD. Not only that, but the picture is fuzzier than standard SD. On mine, the sound kept going in and out.

I would think, with this new contract, that at least all CONFERENCE games would be in HD and on a standard channel that most people would get on TV.

You'd think that you'd get the typical ESPN-type production, but you'd be wrong. It was subpar.

Is the channel not in HD, or have the games just not been in HD themselves?

I don't think ESPNU is offered in HD. It is tough to watch but at least it is on TV. Switching over to a HD game, it was almost like being able to see clearly again. I don't see how we survived before HD.

To me its the friggin commentary!! Brock Huard isnt bad but that other guy, WTF??? That guy wanted KY to win that game so bad. Everytime they did something halfway good, he bout went crazy.

ESPN-U is great compared to the alternative. PPV. In Charleston ESPN U on comcast is in HD, thus it is hard to tell the difference from other ESPN networks (besides the comentators, and I actually think Brock is decent).

ESPN advertises ESPNU in HD but I have the sports pack with Direct and can't even get it in HD.

Its awful, but at least its free; my wife, who never can tell the difference between HD and non HD asked me why the screen was so fuzzy during the game

I have ATT Uverse, and ESPNU is in HD. However, the UK game looked TERRIBLE this past weekend.

You noticed that too. I was watching the game with my parents and my dad mentioned that several times. What was that announcer's deal?

I have DISH and had no problems with picture quality. The volume problem I blame on my tv 'cause it works at the level it wants when it wants. Every channel is different.

So, you are saying that we were watching a game filmed in SD but broadcast on an HD channel?

I agree that if its on TV you have no room to complain...but HD is NOT overrated...I can't stand to watch tv is SD anymore, gives me a headache

I have espnu in HD and the game was a bit off most of the time. However when they switched cameras it was clear that the main one showing the action was the culprit. I had no issue with the HD on other cameras views

Are you guys trying to say that you don't like poor picture quality and watching players in the huddle instead of replays?
