I hate to wait for the inevitable but if that means getting the RIGHT guy in place, so be it. I am completely over this experiment. How did we think this would end? Butch has always been a mid level coach and he provides mid level results.

I'm not even looking forward to showing my face to the world today. I can certainly wait on next season. It's gonna be so bad....

How many show up for the Orange and White game. I have to think it will drop down to the 40K and under range now.

I'll be supporting my team as always but I can't say that I'm enthusiastic about next year. If Butch can't be fired then his assistants HAVE to go.

A part of me wants to just can Butch now and put the interim tag on Stripling or even Shoop and just wait out next year until we find who we are looking for (and if they somehow do really well, hire them).

The other part of me realizes that's freaking insane and can't possibly end well.

Obviously I will always support the Vols but as fans of the team we should not go to the games next year. I will watch every game on tv and continue to constantly read and stay up to date with the team but we should not financially support this team who refuses to do what it takes to get the program back to where it belongs to be. Butch did a good job of rescuing a sunken ship on life preserves but it's time for us to no longer be stranded at sea. We aren't making it back to shore on life rafts. We need a damn boat.

The players deserve better than that regardless of coaching opinions

Annual season ticket holder here. Won't be renewing until butch is canned I can guarantee that. Call me Fairweather or whatever you want I'll always love the vols and players but im not wasting my hard earned money and Butch and his mediocrity

Atleast we'll fire him mid season next year, and have the first shot at the best coaches.
