I bet Vols/USC will be the CBS game.

This is quite telling. The left off Oct 10 (the week Tennessee plays Georgia) and Oct 24th (the week Tennessee plays Alabama). Surely any game involving UGA or Bama would be "locks"? This must mean that the current mood on Tennessee is "meh". They don't know if Tennessee is going to be "worthy" of CBS or if they should schedule an alternative game instead.

Very odd because the week Tennessee plays Bama there are really no other "good" games. Georgia vs Kentucky being the closest thing to a decent game.

Would Pruitt be on the hot seat if he starts the season 0-2 again? I mean it’s not out of the realm of possibility with this schedule.

UT in year 3 under Pruitt should be back to beating USCjr every single year especially when you consider home field advantage will be extremely minimal this year. And I'm sorry, if they lose to crappy Missouri at home with a first year head coach then ya, fire up that seat. UT should quite easily roll into Sanford Stadium 2-0

Pruitt, for some reason, doesn't do well when he has time to prepare. We got smoked vs WVa, I need not mention last year, and in our bowl game we looked completely flat for 80% of the game.

It's odd, but we should brace for it.

If not, he should be. That would mean in his third season he has accumulated a 13-14 record with games against UGa, Bama, aTm, Auburn and UF remaining. Let’s say he wins two of those 5, plus beats Kentucky, Arkansas and Vandy. That’s a 5-5 record in year three and a 18-17 record overall after three seasons. That’s worse than mediocre.

But I think this may be a year where forgiveness is a little higher for hot seat coaches. Plus, with most every university taking huge financial hits this season, they likely can’t afford buyouts.

. With the brutal schedule this year I’d be more than happy if we go 6-4 , 7-3 would be amazing, but 5-5 would be understandable but not great. I think 4-6 or worse and he’s on the hot seat.

Don’t disagree. I just think most were hoping to be much better than 5 losses in year three, and better than 18-17 overall after 3 years of Pruitt.

. That’s true but who knew 7 months ago that we would add A&M and Auburn to our schedule and lose our 3 cupcake games although maybe that don’t matter since we lost to Ga. St and BYU last year. Eventually though Pruitt will have to start beating the big boys Fla, Georgia and Bama.

It may have to do with the 5 game limit for any individual team. CBS has already booked 3 Bama games. One must assume that they'll also take the Iron Bowl. So CBS may be giving themselves some room to maneuver. Either Bama-UT on the 24th or Kiffin's first game against Saban on the 10th.

Ya like I said, they dont trust Tennessee. You'd think an annual rivalry game would be one of the 5 games, and I'm sure it will be in the end, but the fact that it isnt locked in yet tells me they dont know what to make of Tennessee.

If they chose the Ole Miss game that would put Bama on CBS 3 weeks in a row.

CBS is in cahoots with SEC to hamper our recruiting. And, did anybody see that UFO over the High Times trailer park Saturday night?

I don't think anyone in the SEC is going to run the table this season and we could possibly see a 7-3 team win the East this year. Gonna be a bunch of 5-5 and 6-4 records I feel. I agree about Coach Pruitt's record and would like to see it better, he's got 3 bad losses, I'm hoping that's not indicative of what he's going to be in the future. We've been a good football team ever since the Fl loss last year, I like the way Pruitt is trending.
