I ask, is it Bama week yet?

I loved it. You're right, it just doesn't quite feel like Bama week yet. Hopefully it will start feeling right soon...but we haven't had a lot to be over confident about yet. I mean no turnovers last week was huge. Stephens not throwing any INT's yet is huge..but this is Bama and I doubt they'll give us anything.

1. Not everyone is picking Bama to win
2. The goofy SC troll has more than made up for the lack of Bammers
3. I'm betting that the UT/Alabama game is always circled on both schedules
4. Maybe, after the last week or two, the Alabama fans are a little worried and can smell an upset over the stench of inbreeding, rotten mayonaisse, and musty trailer parks that looms over the state

1. Come on, everyone is picking Alabama. Everyone.
2. What did I miss? :)
3. You would hope but it's never the top game on their schedule. That's reserved for Auburn.
4. I doubt it. But I like the imagery.

We're just living in the bizarro world the Bammers were in when they were sporting the likes of Zook, Dubose and Shula as their charismatic leaders.

1. No, they aren't
2. "number5iscomin4u"
3. Probably right. . .but there is more than one circle
4. Sorry about that.

I ******** hate Alabama. While my hate goes back to birth my first experience of Bama hate came when David Palmer lined up at QB in 93. That is the first Bama game I vividly remember.

my hate goes back from when i was little. my dad from tn raising me as a vol fan. his brother (he had lots of them like 11 including himself) rodney was a bama fan and he'd harass me about the vols. i believe he was dropped on his head or something. he also loves the cubs, i hate them white sox fan. only thing i agree on is nfl teams bears and titans.

"For the most part, the Tide fans that I’ve witnessed this week on the interwebs have been downright, well, courteous"

maybe this will help get a rise from the Tide faithful on being courteous, since i am not :)

They can suck that big green festering pus filled zit from last year,on my big fat grey hairy ass, right next to my hanging bleeding hemroid, right after i take a dump on there 50 yard line,:moon2: but thats just me :pardon:

And yes,i belive we will win just because i Hate Bama,I don't need anothere reason

damn i feel better after saying that

last year I was excitied thought we really had a shot to win. The florida game had to just be a fluke.. Then well we all know what happened. I am not that excited about it this time. I am still hoping we win but it just doesnt mean as much to me this year. If we win we probably keep fulmer for another year but then end up with the same record next year. Lose this one and confidence goes down and we might end up losing a couple more.

Is it Alabama Week Yet?

Just some random rumblings from yours truly.

Thoughts?
Yeah its alabama week. I still have that hate, i'am old school. I was there when johnny was getting beatin every year like a rented mule.

Freak the thing i've noticed and it might just be that i'am getting older. The rivalry's have grown nicer. Different day and age. Teams seem to be more respectful toward one another than in the past.

Either thats the case or its just old age. I don't sense the anomosity and hate out of our rivals now that i used to. Almost sympathic to a point.

Not too many guys in the league like a young steve spurrier to throw barbs at us after pasting us for the sixth time in a row.

The coaches of today seem to have more respect than when i was younger. They don't take those shots like they once did. College football today is different than back then. More commericalized and way to damn nice.

Hire brian billick and it would get lively again. He'd be the new age spurrier. He'll stick in people side like a thorn. This league deserves another young SOS.

Buck fama and go vols.

Great article! The 3rd week in October has lost some luster over the past years. Splitting us up back in the 90's and putting us in the east and them in the west didn't help. Who would you rather have, FL or AL? It would have been better for both of our programs. This is a legendary game that most young people have no ideal of its importance. I don't think the players even understand it like they should now. Our dismal year hasn't helped any either.
So, it doesn't feel like Bama week to me. Probably will not either. Hope the game is close but I fear it will not be. However like we all know it is college football and anything can happen. This could be the best year for us to spark the rivalry beating them ranked so high.

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saban said he told his team they have to play their best game to win. Probably just typical coaches speak, but I don't see how we win this one.

I think it's 50/50. Auburn or Tennessee being at the top of the list.
That meaning half of the fans consider the Vols the biggest rivalry and the other half consider Auburn at the top.

I hate Bama, it all stems from my father teaching me the difference between right and wrong, but the first time I remember claiming to be a VOL is in 5th grade this kid from Alabama move in to our class. We became friends, as much as possible. When the 3rd Sat in Oct rolled around we made a bet, loser wears the winners hat outside at recess for a week. It was the worst feeling ever, even the teacher got in on it. There is still a picture of it in his classroom. God the thing is on a good year I would still make bets like that and have. But its great to be a Tennessee Vols, I said its great to be a ...................

Your wish for trolls is granted Freak.

After reading this, I was starting to wonder if Freak might be the one posing as the troll just to get the blood flowing. Doubt it because I'm pretty sure he could make it a bit more creative but the timing does seem odd.

And if last year is any indication, we might be better off against UA if we were a directional school. I know they faired better than we did.
