I don't understand why so many people want to stand behind a mediocre coach who left his last HC job with a 4-8 record and has NEVER had an outstanding year to make us think otherwise. It's beyond me. The expectations have really dropped. I remember when Fulmer got his very first losing season. UT let him know that his job was in jeopardy, and that was only ONE losing year. What happened when he got his second losing season? He was out of there. He had been warned. On the top 10 most winningest football programs of all time Tennessee is ranked right along with the other known greats like Alabama, Michigan, Penn, Ohio State, and Texas. But I see us falling off of that list if we continue to accept mediocrity like this.

Great post. You are exactly right. The people who are bashing you are to blame for the state we are in now. They are the ones who stood idly by as Fulmer ran this program into the ground. I'm an alumnus, class of 95. I love my university, but I hate a large segment of our old, fat, conservative, in-bred, hillbillie fanbase.

I've got two season tickets and will renew next year. We only went to the GA and SC games because with age it gets easier and easier to watch from the couch. It was difficult to give the other ones away and I don't know if the employees who took them actually used them. There relatively good tickets. Sad commentary on the season.

You pay money to your ISP provider and your electric company both services that allow you to post to this Vols forum so you're still spending money on Tennessee football and it amounts to more than a dime. Im a VOL 4 life and will be behind the program up or down. I will continue to buy UT gear etc. Programs go thru ups and downs. Real fans stay with the ship and wether the storm
