There’s one thing I can’t let go of from this game. Auburn just wanted it more. Whatever Pearl said to them at half time motivated them to a higher level. They just “out-gutted” us in the 2nd half, with so much at stake. TV put up a quote from Bone during the game, “We don’t ever want to walk off the court after the game knowing that the other team wanted it more” (or words to that effect). Well, that happened.

The only silver lining is to hope that this inspires the Vols to have more consistent level of effort in the SEC tournament. I know we all want that.

That disappointed me the most, we didn’t force them to drive and got goaded into playing their game.

Agree, the effort today was disappointing based on what was at stake. Back to back championships don't come around very often, in fact, it's never happened to us and we played without a sense of urgency. Oh well, gotta keep your cup on when your a Vol fan!

I've repeated this several times, but the loss was due to us trying to beat Auburn at what Auburn does best: the 3-point shot. Defense was sub-par as well.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it. The gameplan today was absolutely atrocious.

You can't blame the refs for this one, and I definitely think the team wanted this as much, if not more than Auburn considering what was on the line.

Defense wasn't great, Turner took too many shots... but it wasn't a bad performance at all. We lost a close game on the road to a team that plays well at home. It happens. Hopefully, the week off does some good.

Not have Kyle Alexander running around trying to recover on defense for one. Not switching onto the guards for two. Protecting the ball better so they don’t get in transition for three.

It’s not a bad loss, but given the aspirations we have it’s not a great game to lose at this point in the season. The shot selection should be easy to address, but the defense is way too unpredictable

Poor play and poor shot selection (at times) by our guards hurt us today. Also, our passing wasn't crisp at all, which Auburn had a lot to do with that, but still, just never seemed comfortable on either end of the court. At least that is the last purely hostile environment we'll play this year.

Such a lazy take. Just because you get beat doesn’t mean you didn’t “want it.” Some bad Barnes decisions, Admiral’s foul troubles, and Turner playing his worst game of the year all were factors.

Shooters go through cold streaks, it happens. My issue with Turner is that he continues to jack up so many threes when he's struggling. Which game was it where he was struggling and took more shots than Grant? Was that LSU?
