They didn’t fake any injuries that I caught. That’s something virtually all of our opponents have done for the last 2 years, and it was something virtually everyone expected them to do in this game. If for nothing else, I give credit to Napier for playing our offense straight up.

Napier had his team ready to play.

Noticed that, Pitt didn't do it either.

Their 4th down conversions were unreal. What were they 5 of 6? Never seen anything like it. They played to win for sure.

He took risks several times with these and did not always run what folks expected him too and thus caught the defense out of position.

I agree. But they didn't have many 3 and outs. The gators came to play, as should have been expected. I'm excited that we found a way to win instead of a way to lose.
Notice how everyone is talking about how good we are, not how close the game was?

We didn’t exactly play at a horrid pace yesterday, we for the most part slowed it down way more than usual for our offense.

I believe that our Director of Player Developement came from Florida to......"HOW REALLY SWEET IT IS"!

I was watching on my phone while distracted by my 50th birthday/retirement party but it didn’t seem like they played at the furious pace they usually do. Maybe I’m wrong?

I'll give Florida a ton of credit. They gave every thing they had all night long. That O-Line pass blocking was very good, and Richardson did things throwing the ball that people thought he wasn't going to be able to do. Didn't fake injuries, their coach was an idiot going for 2 on the next to last TD, but that's why I'm glad we have Heupel. This is what college football is all about though.

Tim banks should have brought the house the whole game but I understand why he didn’t. Playing man coverage leaves running lanes for Richardson. We just need better corners. Our D line and edge rushers are pretty good IMO

I give him credit for knowing that was the only way they could stay in the ball game for sure.
Most coaches would of ended up punting and getting boat raced out of the game.
What is most interesting and even more important, he converted those and still lost the game.
If I had saw that stat not knowing the outcome, I would have thought they had won.
It is a recipe to beat us, but it can blow up in their face as well. Definitely a double edged sword.
Maybe the worm has turned in our favor now.
Would love for JH to be 1-1 against the dawgs and the tide as well at the end of this regular season.

They gave us their best game for sure. As expected, Richardson literally had a career day. Crazy how FL QB's do that when they play the Vols.

Yeah, going for it inside your own 30 is like having an odd skin spot excised; damn!!! - but you gotta do it.

And I'm glad they did because our players took their best shot and still won. That's better than blowing them out because we know Florida was all in for that game.

Florida fought hard. A lessor opponent would have succumbed. Go Volunteers and thank you players and terrific coaches. This is a beautiful Sunday.
