lets just say we are sitting at 11 - 1 heading into the SEC Championship game........our defense stepped up to the plate....we won barn burners against Ga, SC, Florida and Ark.......we are playin LSU........and we are ranked 3rd.....USC beats CAL and so they are 1 USC and 2 CAL......would we be overlooked if we won the SEC Championship Game because Cal beat us?? Just a scenerio, but I was reading and looking at last year....it is very possible for this to happen if we run the table.....big IF but possible!! I believe Phil would keep his JOB then

Actually, that's why we lost this year. I swore I saw Aaron Rodgers on Cal's sideline with a telescope and a pen and paper.

I suppose that would have some similarities to last year with the debate over whether Michigan (seems so funny now!) or Florida should be playing for the NC. I suppose it's possible, but I don't really see either Cal or UT ranked 2/3 with a loss. It's possible, but I think there will be an undefeated team with a weaker schedule that would take the 2.

If Boise State goes undefeated (which I hope they don't because I picked them to get beat by Washington in the VolNation Picks) there will be a massive push by the media to put them in that National Championship game.

Just a prediction, that I really don't want to see happen. I'm not saying they will be in it, I'm just saying the media feeds off "Why not them?" stories and will stick it down our throats.
