What do you say?

We are under close scrunity by NCAA and SEC due to actions taken by Kiffin, Pearl and Tyndall. Kiffin will not be asked by UT ADM to come back to UT.

Strike out on a Chris Petersen type of hire then I'd take Lane all day long. Give him a DC like Charlie Strong, and you have yourself a homerun hire.

Not until the seven seas turn bone dry, the sun goes cold, the stars blink out one by one and the flames of perdition are quenched will I accept Lane Kiffin back at the University of Tennessee.

Just sayin'

I think the guy would be fine here. I get that people are angry with how he left us and yes it sucked, but I think he has learned some lessons and could do awesome here. I firmly believe that if he had stayed back in 2009 we would have been the class of the East for a while now.

No!!! That is, if he hasn't grown as a person at all since he left. If Saban has changed him as a person to where he won't crash cars, run his mouth and get us in trouble with the NCAA and he wins us 10 or 11 games, then I guess that is pretty hard to say no to. I just doubt if the man has truly changed when given complete independence.

You never take the cheating whore back.. There are better options out there anyway

It's a business, not a romantic relationship. I'm not calling you out specifically, but I do not get this sentiment that we wouldn't want Kiffin back because he left us before. Yes it sucked for us, but if he can bring us to the top then bring him in. It is one thing to think he can't cut it as a HC and that's why we don't want him, but to frame it like he is an ex-girlfriend seems so silly to me.

That guys stinks.
The only reason he looks ok now is because he fell into a slot on the best college team in America loaded with four and five star recruits.
I despise him.
Never!

I really, really don't get the Kiffin love in the FF. Asking him to come back and coach is akin to asking the live in pool boy that was banging your wife and bragging about it on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to move back into your house because he's a good cook.

It's straight unnatural.

Has everybody forgot that he basically took a dump on the football program. His leaving and the bad hire that ensued set the program back 5 years. There's no way I'd ever want him to be our coach again.

Fair enough.. Its really just a metaphor but let me put it in context for you pal..

What would happen if this fool came back here and had some success and then bailed again in 2 years?

If you think our image in the overall landscape of college football is bad now or has been for the past decade that would be a death blow...

Like I said there are several better options anyway than that douchebag

I thought about this today and I would say yes. He did provide some awesome recruiters and staff. He has grown up and he knows he made a mistake and would make things right. Now it would never happen because he burned some bridges with the administration
