at least 4 Vols have finished #2 in Heisman voting.

Hank lauricella (compare his stats to the winner and tell me he shouldn't have won it:

Johnny Majors
Heath shuler
Peyton Manning.

George Cafego finished 4th in 1939

I know there's some other Vols who have been finalists but they didnt finish 2nd, if I remember correctly.

Anyone else NOT gonna watch the Heistman tonight?

We've got a certain person on this board that predicted we'll have 2 heistman candidates next season, he has Vol in his moniker if you'd like to guess! Shuler could have won it had he not had to play most of the season with an injured shoulder!

The biggest Heisman heist was Wooden winning over Manning, totally fueled by media who wanted to see that. Also, Hornung winning in 1956 was a total joke as well. I really don't like popularity contests and those that vote for their regional boys. Makes the validity (to me) kind of a sham. It's the kind of popularity contest that is MLB's All-Star game.

Same here. I swore that night I’d never watch that again. I haven’t.
Is that irrational of me? I’m sure it is. Don’t care, though.
I see nothing irrational about walking away from something that is itself an irrational process.
