someone needs to put this guy in his place. He was just on 104.5 in Nashville. He had these nuggets of bs:

-a player and family members told Hubbs that DR was suspended and that Dooley just doesn't want it out. He wouldn't name said player or family.
-he was really defensive about DD shutting him up and basically called DD a liar
-said DD repeatedly "throws" players under the bus. Same old p**sy bs
-Insisted that DR cusses out everyone--media, coaches, players--and that DD forced CBaggett into retirement

This guy has a vendetta and needs to be put in his place. I truly hope someone at UT pulls a Bill King and bans his ass. Not one positive thing to say and continued pushing of unsubstantiated bs that hurts the program. If someone has an email address handy for him, please link it.

Knoxville media is mad because Dooley has cut them off. They deserve worse.

I don't listen to Hyams, but if this is true, if I were the AD I would ban his azz from anything involving UT sports. Sounds like he is spewing baseless crap. If he can provide proof of what he says, then that's another thing.

With the way everything played out when DR was suspended and then not suspended, I would not be shocked if Hyams is right. CDD may see keeping it quiet was in his best interest moving forward and tried to do some quick damage control. I would believe that long before I would believe there was zero issue with DR and things were all fine.

heard the same thing from Hayms the other night, There was something to this story when It broke, but it was resolved, handled internally, and is old news. Why can't they give it up? Hayms said DR should be kicked off the team. 90% of the problems we had last year will be cured by winning, and a big year by DR and Hubbs and Hayms will be ridding DR nuts all the way to the NFL.

Having issues with a player is quite different than suspension and possibly kicking off, as H has suggested. Player issues are common.

H is also the guy that said Bray should be suspended and said Bray said he went after a vandy players knee to put him out of the game. That's not what Bray said or did.

Yea all the guys from sports animal and the news paper seemed pissed that they are in the dark about the current dc situation. Hyams is an idiot all that dude does is rabble on a bunch of non sense

The Zone set the tone by asking Hyams about the "12 round" fight between Dooley and Hyams at the press conference earlier this week. You could tell Hyams was not happy with the way Dooley treated him like a nobody during the press conference.

First of all, stop listening to the so called station for the Vols 104.5. They are so far up Franklin butt it's not funny. I can't stand that station.

So, the Tennessean is now reporting this story based on Hyams? Why the hell doesn't someone just ask Chavis directly? They guy gave a press conference; shouldn't someone have asked him about the UT job to get a direct answer? Does anyone know if this happened?

Regardless, Hyams is sure pushing this "story."

Chavis is not interested in a return to Tennessee. According to longtime Knoxville radio show host and reporter Jimmy Hyams, Chavis recently turned down $1 million to become Tennessee's defensive coordinator again. This may explain his emotions Thursday.
