Another coach. Wilcox is 2nd choice. If said coach declines after bowl games Wilcox is the man. Merge if necessary.

Hmm, if true, all the "it's a done deal with Wilcox" crowd might need some name changes.

Like I've said before.....some of the guys we could get to replace Wilcox are better IMO.....I for one would actually like to see Wilcox take the job.....JMO

changing the defensive scheme for a 3rd straight year would be a big negative. Wilcox staying would be good news...

I wouldnt I think Wilcox will be solid for us. He has a year of SEC play under his belt and should be getting in some better recruits. He has Football in his DNA he will be successful...

Hyams is actually reporting that Texas has offered Will Muschamp the DC job. He finds this interesting but says Mack Browning will still run things.

Wilcox will be a special coach for us if he stays. Texas wouldnt be offering if they didnt feel the same.

I, for one, am excited to see what he can do with players he knows well and has had time to teach his defenses. I hope he stays and like the fact that our assistant coaches are good enough to be in the mix for vacancies elsewhere.

No one should use the words "Hyams" and "reporting" in the same sentence.

I think Wilcox will be fine...when you consider our talent level this year, the defense played pretty well IMO.

If Jimmy is reporting this we might want to make sure Wilcox hasn't already cleared out his office and isn't on a plane to Austin.

Well, here's hoping Wilcox stays....but if he is unhappy here, then I expect to see this repeated next year.

So if what I'm reading on on these threads is correct, a job is not "offered" until it's really a "done deal" in order to save face. So by this latest information, Wilcox isn't going anywhere!

Comforting news. Hyams is money in the bank.

Off topic, does anyone know how Marlon Brown is doing at Ohio State?

I heard he would have come to UT if we'd ever consider wearing black jerseys, but since we never have and never will, he's happy with the Buckeyes.
