Easy money at ESPN....tough love at UT with good pay. He is a smart man. He could not cut it here..away from the game too long and little to no useful college experience and after 2 years or so, the love fest would have ended.

If you really thought he was coming, you were only kidding yourself. I wanted him to come very badly, but did not really expect it to happen. Stoops or Jimbo Fisher should be the next targets IMHO.

I would even take Petrino. I know his off-field stuff is a downer, but he would make us relevant again quickly. You cannot dismiss that fact.

I like Strong a lot, but not sure I would take him over Stoops; provided we had a shot at both.
