Hurd was not at 10/4 Practice....

Bell rung is very far from a medical diagnosis of concussion, c'mon KB you're usually MUCH better than that. By the way I've promoted across several threads what Travis said regarding the ringing of Hurd's bell. Travis in another thread also indicated Jalen will play Saturday as well, miss or forget that one since we're hanging a shingle on Travis?

You list for me the symptoms of "bell rung," and I'll show you the symptoms of "concussion." They're the same thing, only different in degrees, and a player should be sitting out if he has the symptoms.

Haha, I noticed that too. Poor Vol_74.

It'll all come out. I don't care who believes what at this point. You can't tell people the truth on this board. They literally cannot process it.

No but you can Lie like H$#@!!

So we can level set. This Hurd that we "might not miss" is the same dude that won the app state game by falling on Dobb's fumble. So pretty much he started our season.

Same dude about to break the all time rushing record lol

I can say one thing about Hurd, he has become a work horse type of RB, and I never envisioned that watching his HS film.

I completely agree... I thought by now he would have had several 50+ yard TD runs and be more of a home run threat than a workhouse type RB.

He's a very tough, hard-nosed runner and gives maximum effort, I'm very glad he's on our team.

Agree. I do hate that we know what we do about players. Ignorance is bliss and I don't want to imagine he's unhappy. Those are things he should get to wrestle with behind closed doors and sign autographs on Saturday after he's made his decision.

Best of luck to him this week and all of the rest. To the jack legs that feel the need to dissect this in detail, try applying some perspective.
He's won us games. He plays hard. He's a vol even if he doesn't always love it.

On the injury or non-injury - hope he's back and save the drama for the soap operas.

Jalen Hurd seems to me like he and his family has a taste for drama and personally I'll be glad when he's gone. If he doesn't want to be on an undefeated team, then so be it. Kamara is averaging more yards and gives his all.

IMHO Hurd has given his all for Tennessee every time he's suited up..Drama usually only occurs when simple minds create it and I personally will be glad when drama posters are gone...

Stupid is as stupid does.....

There have been many many many people who have had their bell rung seen stars all that, been evaluated by medical professionals and walked out without a concussion diagnosis. I am one of them.

Exactly. If you would have told me he would be taking that type of punishment, I would think you were crazy. Runs hard for sure, he fooled me for sure.

He did look a little dazed after that play and I can't remember if he was sidelined after that play or not.

Came out for a few playes. He scored on that drive. I think he had on and off again issues until he was pulled. I think Hurd wanted in on that kick return. He probably insisted since he's a stud team player gamer.

You should post less

And then, when you're posting less, post less than that.

How would you feel about Peyton if he never had anything good to say about UT? How do you feel about Foster? VFL outlast your time on the field. As far as my major, I wouldn't choose a school that didn't offer it in the first place then ***** about it. He knew the scheme when he committed. Like I said in my post, I have no idea how Jalen feels but his uncle, his dad and others around him say he hasn't been happy with his time at Tennessee. If he sets the all time rushing record and has great success in the NFL, I would prefer him to be an ambassador to our VOLS for years to come as Peyton has. Not talk **** like Foster has. I admitted I have no idea what he does once he can say what he wants but if you actually read my post that you responded to, it was simply stating that there is cause to speculate what his attitude will be when he leaves. How will you feel about him if he leaves and blast the coaching staff and university. Will he still be VFL? I don't have an opinion on which way he actually feels but the post I replied to said it takes a weak fan to question it and I disagree. Jalen is my favorite player on the team btw, with Jennings closing fast. I never said anything negative about him. I only stated what I believe most are concerned about with him. Did you graduate from UT by the way? Wait don't answer that, because if you did and have no reading comprehension I will be embarrassed.

Is there a way I can take away the 1 "like" for this post?

Don't have to worry about Peyton as he hasn't...and neither has Hurd. Look, the guy allegedly vented to his inner circle of family and friends that he was unhappy. Who else is he supposed to talk to about that? Then, it was allegedly leaked on a message board by a family member. My point is...

Look. At. The. Tape.

What has this guy done for you to question anything about his VFL status? Which is exactly what you did. In your first response to me, you ended it with..."I personally don't see it at being a weak fan to want your potential all time rushing leader to be a true VFL." Then on the one I'm quoting now, you said you "only stated what I believe most are concerned about with him". Granted, I don't spend a lot of time reading everything on here, but at least in this thread, you're certainly not in the majority on your opinion. Folks sure seem to be overwhelmingly supportive of him as a player and representative of our program, because he's given us no reason not to be. He lays it all out, week in and week out. That's a fact that you can look at on tape all you want.

Refresh my memory on Foster, btw. I'm not finding anything other than he said he took money while playing here. That comment was directed at the NCAA and amateur athletics, not UT.

As for reading comprehension...check yours my man. I said I graduated from UT, literally in the second sentence of my original post you quoted.

Some people amaze me on this board by arguing over the factuality of something when they don't have the facts at all. An argument over an assumption is ,well, kind of stupid.

No. "Bell rung" is layman's term for head injury which is right in line what both Travis and Vol74 are saying. I've had two concussions from playing football back in the day....both times I very much had my "bell rung".

If nothing else, it helps narrow what the injury was, even if it was a clinically diagnosed concussion. In other words, the "lower body extremity injury" Butch mentioned was BS.

They may be having a little time out from each other this week. But, cooler heads will prevail. Too much future money at stake for everyone involved...especially the Hurd family.

I had my bell rung many times. Had one concussion. Don't remember coming home. Went to bed which is exactly the wrong thing to do....
