No mystery. UF wasn't a well conditioned team. If I were a UF fan (just threw up a little in my mouth), that would concern me about McElwain's program.

UT shot themselves in the foot the whole 1st half. But their great execution in the 2nd half was made even better by the fact that UT was just flat out in better shape.

You saw the difference between a coach who has an almost obsessive focus on physical conditioning and one that is somewhere on the other side of the spectrum.

I AGREE with this 100%.....VERY GOOD POINT!

I wonder if this actually reveals a lack of talented DEPTH on the Gator Roster.....108 degrees on field at start of the game was shown on CBS....you have to have SUBS in that heat to be able to compete for 4 QTRS...

Only time I was ever ejected from a game was against Troy State, (Just Troy Now) after an interception and a 35 yard return. The receiver went straight to the pile, jumped on, and kneed me in the nether region. I came up swinging and hit the wrong player. But as Karma set in, another corner back paid him back in spades. Kelly Kiner to be exact. Roomies have to take up for one another.

I applaud Jalen for not going after him. Class act son, and you have my total respect. Just wish I would have done the same. Jalen, kept his cool and played ball and you sir have a very bright future ahead of you sir!!!!!

Uh, no , you're wrong. He was called for unsportsmanlike conduct earlier in the game. Second one gets you ejected. Referee said he has "ejected himself from the game".

Martin and Quincy Wilson (I don't see any other unsportsmanlike penalties) was called for the unsportsmanlike earlier in the game. Powell was disqualified for throwing the punch.

Well considering the UF player was ejected. Bad penalties/no penalties happen all the time. But a player getting ejected is a bit tough.

How many of you guys lurk around here? I would think the last place you would want to be now is a Vol fan board??

It's been reported that UF has a new air-conditioned practice facility. Looks like they should have been outside getting prepared for the heat and humidity. They were physically and mentally beaten by the 4th quarter.

The wimps probably want to move the series to November now to avoid the heat.

I don't think they are going to run up from 10 yards away and throw a haymaker. Just pointing out that this was a short punch to the solar plexus when both got up from a tackle. It was a cheap shot comparable to stomping on a hand or kicking someone's helmet when they are down / should be reviewable and the person that threw the punch penalized in some fashion. Hurd and his teammates reacted and didn't appear too happy about it. It shows a lack of class imho. I do think that this particular defensive lineman played a great game aside from this. Just pointing it out since I found it interesting when I saw it and since the refs didn't catch it.

I believe that was Powell's second personal foul is why he was tossed. And I agree totally that Martin is going to have to play smarter than he has been. He can do it, though. He's got the ability.

Off-topic, but the next time Martin turns around to look for the ball when trailing the receiver will be the first.

Am I mistaken, or did he get bemched in favor of Gaulden?
