Some are indicating that he is likely in bigger trouble than originally thought. What has happened to foster that opinion?

I missed a day and somehow I come back and many think he's gone. Where does that notion come from? New info? Anything confirmed?

Hat and LWS have been hearing things that lead them to believe that Hughes is facing some serious problems.

Yeah, it's all in the "Just want to straighten some things up" thread. Nobody reall seems to want go on the record yet though. (wisely so IMO) It's all a lot of hearsay at this point, and we should supposedly find more out midweek.

His actions inside the club probably led to this whole mess occuring. His subsequent actions outside may lead to some real legal problems. Staying on the team may be the least of his worries...

it sounds like he might have been the one that knocked out the guy outside

Yeah it will be interesting to see what Hat learns on Tuesday afternoon. Maybe it won't be as bad as it seems, but I'm not holding my breath.

Seems I recall experts telling us that Tyler Smith would be serving mandatory prison time for possessing a gun with filed numbers.

It'll work itself out in due time. Fights with busted up heads happen all the time. Typically the loser threatens legal retribution until he realizes he just got his azz kicked and should man-up and move on.

It is not big secrets

Everyone will be able to read the charging documents

The other shoe to drop is when the person who put the cop in the hospital is charged.

Tennessee Football takes 2 steps forward......8 steps back........the ignorance level of these players is amazing. After Janzen Jackson Hood and his merry band of stoned up thieves pulled last season you'd think these guys would have a clue. This behavior is just getting old....seems like every season different kids. I'm always positive...about the future and this program....but we're really going in the wrong direction. 3-4 is starting to sound like a real scheme for us....when we've got 2 DT's to use in the line up left.

Not sure how much they can do about what happened inside the bar. Seems to be more of a civil matter to me. The real trouble is going to be what happened outside the bar.

But both events centering on the actions of one individual brings what happened inside the bar into the picture legally.

You can be charged for criminal activity occurring in a bar. The use of the stool could even be viewed as a weapon making charges worse

I am not as concerned about the bar fight part of this fiasco other than what it implies about these players and responsible behavior.

The thing with the policeman outside could be much worse. If he dies, it is at best man slaughter. If he doesn't then it could be assault depending on the details and sequence of events.

Yes, further reading tells me that, but the problem is the state will have to prove it. They can file any criminal charges they want, but proving them becomes much harder. The eyewitnesses are likely to be brought into question since they were drinking. I honestly believe what the policeman tells them is going to carry more weight.

But the nurse said the injuries were not serious
....wish that guy had been right when he was arguing with me.

Is there an effective defensive scheme that requires no Defensive Tackles?

when the charges come from beating the copy, alot will be clear...

Did the cop identify himself, before getting involved
