I know... Unreliable source blah blah blah... I'm going to take what I can get at this point. Vol Nugs tweeted today that change is imminent.

Okay guys, serious question here. If we still don't know what part of the chicken the nugs come from, then how do we know what part of the Vol the Nugs come from?
Is this guy reliable (vol nugs)?

Appreciate that... but if UT is doing the same thing again then I really don't want to be a witness.

IMHO, one of the biggest reasons for these years of..... insert your own word.... is that UT "fires" a coach with no indication that they actually have a working plan for what to do next.

Fulmer deserved to be fired when he was fired. No problem IMO. But then it was like decision makers said, "Oh crap.... what do we do now?" They should have had the new guy or at least a VERY short list of candidates waiting with at least some of the financials ironed out BEFORE the move was made on Fulmer. Kiffin screwed UT... but again... PANIC that led to Dooley. They even had the money to go after a big name at that point and still botched it.

Then... as if they hadn't just done it 4 years earlier... they fired Dooley without having the next guy standing in the wings. They STARTED a search that became more and more desperate finally landing on Jones who shouldn't have even gotten a call back. Then lo and behold... they fire Jones and do the same thing again. No plan. No short list with an understanding of what a deal might look like. Just desperate flailing about.


SO... if they don't have what amounts to a handshake deal with a VERY good coach... just keep Pruitt. It CAN get worse by just changing for the sake of change.

That is a most important part that the Freezers keep overlooking.

Some people would say he's unreliable. I'll be honest, I'm not sure of his track record but I have been following him and I'm hoping that everybody that thinks he's unreliable is wrong.

The poll was: do you “want” Tennessee to hire Freeze.

Not too many on here seriously saying Freeze would be the coach on a certain date.

“If” you want......Pruitt to stay.....I feel for you. Most simply “want” better.....that “want” isn’t going to “die down.”

No Schiano did not go under oath AND never testified AND was never even deposed. It was a guy (McQueery) saying that a guy (Bradley) said that he (Schiano) said he might have seen something but he wasn't sure. McQueery couldn't recall the detail of whether it was morning or night but was able to quote hearsay verbatim, come on? AND it all may or may not have happened 30 years ago.

I would like to hire Freeze. But if we can't hire Schiano over one accusation, how can we hire Freeze with multiple strange accusations plus the NCAA violations?

A lot of football coaches on this site, terrible but still coaches none the less. If you watch the film you will see the following....

1st down, handoff to RB and he dances around in front of a much surprised CC defense and falls down around the 3 yard line.

Chadwell takes a timeout and I can imagine he tells his team to pull his a$$ into the end zone if they do that again.

2nd down, you can see Freeze holding up a 1 indicating take a knee at the 1 yard line, but much to the RB’s, OL’s, and Freeze’s surprise they start pulling his a$$ into the end zone and the Liberty TE tries to grab his RB from behind and keep him from crossing the plane.
Somewhere in the scram he fumbled the ball and the unthinkable happened.

I don’t want either coach (Chadwell or Freeze) but when the game was on the line, Chadwell called a timeout and clearly out coaches Freeze.

I am not footing the bill, you are correct.
The question was who is paying. Or do you believe money falls out of the air to make your wildest fantasy come true? To make a coaching change now will take a lot of cash. The Athletics Department is strapped. Having to borrow money from the University to cover the shortfall.
I am pretty sure the University is not going to finance a coach change under the current climate.
Which booster, or group of boosters do you think will pony up???
I am dying to know where, in your valued opinion, do you think the money will come from.
