I’m pretty sure HF had most of the leverage in the negotiation. They may have not been able to. In any case, it’s all part of the process.

I do think Freeze would win here.

I also don’t see the buyout in the same way as many others. Unless the powers that be honestly think Pruitt can right the ship, they should be looking at the cost of firing him now as the $2.4 million, seeing as they will pay the rest of it anyway when they fire him next year.

They should also consider asking Freeze to retain Chaney. It’s Hugh’s offense anyway. Chaney can retain the OC title and work out his contract as an overpaid QB/OL coach. He would be very serviceable in that role.

I don’t believe they’ll do it, but it really is not simply a money issue.

Not sure I (or anyone) could be or would be un-respectable because they changed anything on Wiki.

It’s not like someone changing the Bible. Wiki is a place one should “only” gather a base line of information (if they know nothing) then research farther to find good factual information.

I find humor in life........some folks don’t......and that’s ok. “If” someone did change what I asked.......it would be fairly humorous for a moment........not sure it would cause harm to anyone.

Freeze hasn’t displayed he’s an elite coach yet. Good? Yes. Elite? No.. at least not yet. He’s essentially doing at Liberty what Kiffin did at FAU, and I’d argue Kiffin’s better than Freeze. Still not on the Saban/Meyer/Swinney level yet.
2 SEC schools passed on Freeze, but here we are again.. not aiming as high as we should and bidding against ourselves to drop a bloated contract we’ll regret later.

Pruitt was certainly blamed for everything the players do on the field. BTW, the QB should have been taking a knee prior to handing the ball to a RB. It was a silly play call, and UT fans would have blasted our coaching staff for the same thing.

It was a very UNUSUAL situation. So I’m not going to put a ton of blame on Freeze for the way it was handled. I also thought taking a knee twice made sense. But, also thought RB messed up the second time getting that close to the goal line. Regardless, that one play pales in comparison to the way Pruitt handled our QB and defensive collapses over three years.

For those arguing the strategy HF employed at the end of the bowl game, go to youtube and listen to his postgame presser. He was simply trying to kill the clock and get the ball at the 1 yard line, and try to score on 3rd down, and still have 4th down to kick if they got stopped. It was sound strategy, but the RB tried to kill clock standing, which he didn't have to do ... he could've just taken a knee at the one.

We can argue all we want, but that was what he was thinking.

Can't see UT hiring Freeze after what they just did to Mimi Groves for a mistake she made in a 3 second video 3 years ago when she was 15.
Sometimes it is hard being a UT fan.
Saw it on the news but you can Google it. She was trying to act hip and said the n word in the video just after getting her driver's license. UT is now not allowing her to go to her dream school even though she has apologized and apparently supported BLM this past year.

It’s not like Liberty is playing Clemson and Notre Dame, we played three teams of that caliber. Freeze had one good year at Ole Miss and the Freezers are making him into the love child of Saban and Belichick.
