NO! if you watched closely, the Defense pulled him into the end zone and stripped the ball . I really think the ball crossed the "Plane" too. Shoulda been over then.

yes, the defense did do that. they couldnt have done that if Mack hadnt run into the line. Actually, Willis should have taken the snap and a knee...fewer exchanges of the ball, the better.

Nobody cares. You sat in an office while your son and yourself got fluffed, doesn’t make you any expert on what is best for the university just what’s best for your kid. Not everyone holds the same values. Stop speaking in definitives because you’re not a pariah and you’re son isn’t the only one that has sat in a SEC office getting the pitch

It fits the narrative of what Deepark offered here a week or so ago and also Sankey nixing a Freeze to Alabama as OC a couple of years ago. Hey if he comes here great , he’s better than Pruitt but it’s going to hurt us long term. There are candidates out there like Napier who have more upside than Freeze.

Sure you have sat with SEC coaches. Blah, blah, blah. Liberty hired Freeze. A Christian university. And he has produced their best football ever. Also, zero sanctions by the NCAA. Look at the way Liberty players played. They were giving maximum effort. A trait indicative of a good head coach. No Inwouldnr have hired Sumlin. Freeze has won everywhere he has been. Sumlin won with Manziel. That’s it.

Posters like you seem to be part of an old guard that holds on to some fallacious thinking that a programs reputation should come first. Dumb. We aren’t a clean run program. We will never be. Might as well win. And if we hired Freeze and the NCAA came sniffing around? So what? If they don’t find anything then what’s the problem?

Didn’t claim not be an expert. Saying SEC coaches are going to give recruits and their parents the positives of their program and the negatives of their opponents program is absolute. I was merely stating that I can confirm that.

Again, I think Freeze would make a decent coach again in the SEC but not great. I gave the reason I feel this way, based solely on his recruiting abilities are severely damaged now.
Had we hired him in 2013 instead of Butch he may have been great here but he had only been in the SEC for 1 year so who knows.
I like Harbaugh and Herman better and they may be available next year.

Excellent post. Winning is what really matters in the end. That is what draws in great players and keeps the machine going. If I knew a coach could come here and win 10 or more games a year then hire him. If he has character flaws then so be it as long as the players will play for him, that's what counts.

Harbaugh isn’t a championship level coach and he’s a whiner, Herman is someone I would think is a killer hire.
