Don't know if this has legs but the rumor is out there. Seems we might hire John Blake from North Carolina. Like I said, I don't know what is going on here but several people have said it and apparently he was interviewed at the convention. We shall see......

Uh oh - he's black. We're Tennessee we only hire white coaches apparently so there is no truth to this at all.'

What could he coach anyway? Offense? WRs? Because now Coach O can't move to LBs.

This would be a great hire, but what would he coach. He coached WR and TE's at Tulsa.

That'd be great...just don't see where he'd fit in on the defensive coaching staff.

This would be a nice hire if true but we have a lot of heavy hitters on the D side of the ball. When are we going to get heavy hitters on the O side of the ball besides CLK and Chaney?

What would he coach? D seems to be full except db's.Doesn't seem to have ex. on O side of ball.

looks like he has coached some offence too

1987-1988 Tight Ends Coach, Wide Receivers Coach & Assistant Coach @ Tulsa

I think Coach O was only going to coach the D-Line.

Looks like he would have to be on the O side. Wonder if that is a sign the Gonzo deal is dead?

I doubt Thompson moves.

You're right...this may be an indication that Gonzales is a no-go.

However, I am not counting anything out.

2 weeks ago I thought Thompson was a pipe dream.

Doubt the two are related. Blake's been coaching D-Line for years and years. To my knowledge, he's never been a receivers coach. It wouldn't make a ton of sense to give him a shot there at UT.

That said, I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.

You may be the first person to ever admit that on the board. Freak could make you a Guru based solely on that statement. Your avatar doesn't hurt either. I have no idea who it is or why he is making that face and I don't want to know. The mystery is what makes it awesome.
