How'd you get your job?

I was at the laundromat one day washing my scrubs, this lady asked me if I was in the health field and I told her "I worked in a pharmacy". She mentioned to me about a man who owned his own pharmacy that was affiliated with the hospital, I called him, told him I was referred to him by so and so and sent him a resume. The next thing I know, my phone was ringing and it was the hospital asking me to come in and fill out an application, they called me for an interview, and then called me back to interview with the pharmacy director. I waited a week and gave the pharmacy director a call and left a message on his voice mail, that I was still interested in the position. He called me at home to tell me that it wasn't filled yet and they were still interviewing. I think a week later the hospital called me at my job and offered me the job over the phone. I accepted and have been in the hospital pharmacy for 7 years. I hate the hours but the pay was better and it was much closer. I believe for me it was been in the right place at the right time. I'm glad I was doing my laundry that day.

Executive recruiter, after I left the Army..

When you get an interview be confident in the interview, and always, ask for the job when they open it up to questions from you.
