Ok so I just got an Ipod and I am clueless on how to work them. When I plugged it into my computer it did the automatic update and put some weird microsoft songs on there that where on my computer from when I bought it. Hopefully one of you knows how to delete them cause I can't figure it out. Like I said I am clueless when it comes to working this thing

If I am not mistaken, once you dl itunes and plug up the ipod, it will update and add all songs that you have on itunes to the ipod and songs that aren't on itunes will be removed from your ipod. I could be completely wrong though.

Yea, the first thing you have to do is DL iTunes.

Well obviously I have that done or else I wouldn't have any songs on my Ipod! No the problem is that I had those microsoft songs in the "My music" folder on my computer and when I DLed Itunes and plugged in my ipod they automatically went on there. Not a big deal, just something I don't want.

Well, what I done was this:

Once iTunes recognizes your iPod, go to the bottom right of iTunes and click the picture of an iPod that says "Display iPod options" when scrolled over. Then under the iPod tab, choose Manually manage songs and playlist. Once this is done, you should be able to add or delete songs.

Click Itunes up, look at your library (List of songs), right click, press delete, and it will say do you want to delete this song off your itunes. Click yes. Then plug your ipod up, and let it update.

If you want the songs on your itunes but not on your ipod, theirs a little check box beside all your songs. You can uncheck them, and then when you plug your ipod up, their is an option that will let you only add the checked songs.
