Lane Kiffin's first, of what will probably be many, controversial moves. This is what Jordan McNair's father, Martin McNair, said about DJ Durkin in an interview with Michael Strahan on "Good Morning, America" in August of 2018:

"He (DJ Durkin) shouldn't be able to work with anybody else's kid. Of course he should be fired." - Martin McNair, while speaking to Michael Strahan.

Jordan McNair died in June of 2018, days after he had trouble finishing a conditioning test which consisted of 10 110 yard sprints. This incident will definitely be brought up by opposing coaches with recruits targeted by Durkin.

It's easy to see how it could be used against him. Lane Kiffin has a way of gravitating towards controversy. It has to be by design. He really is a drama queen.
