How was the defense?

Our defense needs two weeks of hitting the tackling dummy. Tackling was just piss poor tonight. I don't know what they're trying to do out there unless they're just trying to make the game more interesting.

they need more than two weeks. Two weeks is what they will get though. hopefully.

sheesh... we average 5.5 yds per pass?

guess we're still throwing to the flats and not downfield..

They through some long passes from what I heard on the radio. I didn't watch the game so someone else could tell you for sure, but from what it sounded like it seemed they took some shots.

There were quite a few more down field passes. That average would be MUCH higher if Austin Rogers decided to catch the ball. He had 3 or four catches with his hands ON the ball and didn't pull it in.

There were several downfield passes in the first half. At some point, Ainge threw a pick (looked like a bad pass, but also that Chris Brown sort of stopped on his route). After that, I don't recall seeing anymore throws downfield. Lucas Taylor had some long plays, but they were off short passes and subsequent broken tackles.

Hopefully one of the young guys or Kenny O'Neal steps up so we have a downfield threat against UGA.

I thought the Defensive Ends did a pretty good job of bringing pressure from the outside...however it was only Arky State so I don't know how impressive that is..

Ainge had 270 yards passing in the first half. The first HALF. In the second half they started running the ball a LOT more and the passes did start heading to the flat a lot more.
